If you violate any of these rules, you will be warned/banned. 1. Do not bring other artists in unnecessarily to a discussion. IE, if we are discussing Christina Aguilera, do not bring in Britney Spears if it is going to be for the purpose of bashing one or the other. 2. In a discussion with another person, do not slag off someone you perceive to be an artist he/she likes in order to retaliate against them. IE: Person A: I didn't like Christina's last album. Person B: Well Britney sucks too!!!!1!!!!1111 3. Do not throw out cutesy rude sayings like "Well you must have heard a different version of that song" or "Well you need to get your ears cleaned out" etc. It's rude, makes you sound like an ass, and generally leads to fighting. 4. If you see a person doing any of the above, PLEASE do not engage them. Doing so means there is a great possibility you will be warned/banned as well. If a person is violating the rules stated above, he/she will be taken care of by the mods, and there is no point in dragging yourself into the problem. Just ignore it, and it will be handled. 5. One big thing that people don't seem to realize is that warnings, etc take place behind the scenes. Just because you haven't seen any action publicly taken doesn't mean that the person hasn't been warned. Thus, please don't quote people breaking rules and say "why hasn't this been handled?" This will get you a warning of your own. Instead, if you think something needs attention and hasn't been handled, please PM me or one of the admins and we will fill you in. I know a lot of these rules are basically contained within the general rules of Pulse, but violations such as the ones above seem to be the most popular in this forum, so I'm stating them bluntly. You will be warned or banned if you violate these, so please do not complain about it, since it is all spelled out above. Remember this stuff, guys? I'm being overly nice and posting a reminder here, but let me reiterate: everything in this post still applies. Don't break the rules. Don't respond to people you see breaking the rules. If you do that, you get yourself an easy-to-spot warning. If you want to bring a post to my attention, do it privately. I've typed this a few times before - don't make me try it again.

Katy & Ke$ha :) I really hope "Your love is my drug" outpeaks Blah Blah Blah;s #7 peak though. And another top 10 for GaGa, now release "Monster" get your 8th and release a new album around XMas please :) "Monster" is a gonna be a MASSIVE hit the question is not how far can it peak on 100 Billboard but whether it can be #1 or not

"Find Your Love" is already Top 20. It will most likely be a Top 5 hit. Unfortunately looks like "Over" is gonna miss the Top 10. Great to see "Unthinkable" reach the Top 40! Wow, never knew Monica was so successful back then. :o that's why choosing the right single is very important

I think it would be okay for her to release another one and then release the new single in time for the VMAs to release the album in November.

Even though it spent 5 weeks at no. 1, it has been on the Hot 100 for only 14 weeks. Since this is based on points you gain every week you chart, it hasn't accumulated that many points. With longevity, until the end of the year, it should certainly be higher on the 2010 year-end Hot 100 list.

is this what official bb chart uses? No. This is the system of the person who created it. Might give a rough idea of what to expect from a Billboard list though. Billboard adds up the points from sales and airplay each week. This system is based solely on chart position

Hot 100 Airplay top 10 debut: Erotica - Madonna #2 I'll Be There - Mariah Carey #4 That's The Way Love Goes - Janet Jackson #4 Fantasy - Mariah Carey #8 All For You - Janet Jackson #9 Black Or White - Michael Jackson #10 Legend :'( Interestingly I think Madonna may hold on to this record for a very long time. The nature of the airplay chart has changed to make high debuts nearly impossible.

How many spots Crack A Bottle fell after getting number 1? Because if it fell off of top 10, then Not Afraid is doing great. P.S its not getting radio play, it has sold 584k so far!so that's awesome for a single with no video nor radio-play support! LOL...it dropped to #3.

badrobot- those are the highest debuts. "All For You's" debut especially impressive, as it achieved that debut when all formats were part of the Hot 100 Airplay panel.. Which formats are not part of the panel right now? HG was referring to the pre-1998 airplay panel when the Hot 100 Airplay chart was primarily focused on top 40 stations and excluded a number of genres. Since 98 I think it has consistently expanding to contain as many stations as possible. Are any BDS-monitored stations NOT included at this point, actually?

Wow @ All For You, what an airplay monster that song was. Doesn't it also hold the record for most formats added in one day or something too?

Unless there are some huge change of rules, 'Erotica' will stay as the highest airplay debut ever. Katy has managed an stellar debut with a HUGE bullet on Pop (the highest in a lot of time), but wasn't even close to top 20 on airplay.
