Public meltdown, drug-abuse or divorce. Then have a comeback.

You make generic pop music to fit in with whats popular and that flops... ^ That She put out two bad songs with Not Myself Tonight and Woohoo. She needs to make generic pop music like Stripped again and stop trying to be so ambitious. She can talk about this being art but its getting trashed by the critics so she doesnt really have a point.

But my thing is where do you go from here? You make generic pop music to fit in with whats popular and that flops...You try and be creative and go old school and those singles underperform...just where do you go next? Well, if she promoted here in the UK, sales would be better and they could easily make the album recover later this year with the X-factor. Simon likes her and will be happy for her to perform. So she should get a top 10 hit and her album will rise and get caught in the christmas rush. That way her album should recover and be alright here. Plus they can release Bionic here, I think it will go down well tbh, better the NMT just to help the album along until the fall.

Glitter also opened in a MUCH stronger sales period. That 9/11 buyer's rush was like no other. Well, duh. America was attacked and needed Glitter to resolve. Also, to add to that Jayz album cameout the same week and posted low numbers than usual

You try and be creative and go old school and those singles underperform NMT and Woohoo were old-school and creative? More like simply old sounds we have heard a million times before. But honestly, even if the right singles were released, I don't think they'd make such a big difference. It's been a while since the last time the public was fascinated with Xtina.

Christina's international fanbase seems to have diminished significantly this era. Her sales in the US make up the majority now.
I got this from a Christina fan forum:
UK: 24.000 Japan: 13.000 Australia: 6.000 US: 110.000 Germany: 8.000 France: 2000 Canada: 3000 Spain: 2000 Italy: 3000 Austria: 1000 Eastern Europe Countries: 2000 Scandinavia countries: 3000 Netherlands, Belgium: 2000 Ireland: 1000 Latin America (not released in a lot of countries): 2000 Rest: 3000
ESTIMATED TOTAL: 185.000

someone channel Monroe. I need to here my girls reaction to this Man, you really know how to own a screenname, don't you? So, the albums sales are in and they weren't unexpected. Oh well. I will be patiently waiting to snatch rainbow-colored wigs, butt & breast implants when a certain album drops...too bad no one even knows when or IF it's dropping. Poor Christina. Can't catch a break. Be skrong, gurl. Remember: you hold the throne! :'( :'( You are always so transparent pressed, must be tough to be a fan of #3 hers.

Who knows...maybe they are just scrapping the album and movie/soundtrack altogether after all of the millions spent on promo? That would be the most ideal thing to save from further embarassment. It really is a mess..if they are really debating what the next single should be, it'll be DOA just because of the huge gap between the 2nd single and NMT. I'm wondering how she'll continue to "push" this album when I'm sure she'll start promoting the movie by the end of the summer. Such a mess, but aye...flops happen to the best of them. Seriously, they just need to release You lost me and be done with it. Stop with the contrived sexual bs and go with the voice and the song. At least when she puts out another greatest hits if that will still exist by then it would be for a song that will be worth something and not an embarassing novelty track.

Ambitious...yet I could clearly here those songs sounding relevant back in 2005/2006. They are dated and not that great...somewhat catchy, though.

Jay-Z and Nickelback released Multi-Platinum albums ON 9/11. Peep the sarcasm. Well, duh. America was attacked and needed Glitter to resolve. Also, to add to that Jayz album cameout the same week and posted low numbers than usual ...peep humor.

The only thing that would save this era is if Burlesque turns out to be a huge hit, then re-release the album and hope for the best.

Can someone please re-post that gif of Christina Aguilera as Christ in the Last Supper. You know, that one when people called her Godtina and Legendtina

I'm really upset right now cause I didn't watch Storytellers last night because MTV said it would be on demand, but I can't find it :( I think they've been playing this around the clock, so keep checking. Behind the Music is on right now on VH1

I do...believe...if she went with the look she had during the Haiti event...you know stripped down from all the fake crap, things would be looking so much better right now.
