She's currently at work on releasing a mixtape ("King Fox") in addition to a single ("Bandz Up").

Foxy Brown: "I Just Knew God Had Got Me..."The female MC speaks about how she went deaf before regaining her hearing10:48, Friday, 14 May 2010 New York rapper Foxy Brown recently opened up about her deafness with talk show host and comedian, Mo’Nique. The female MC spoke about how she went deaf a few years ago and how she has now managed to regain her hearing. Foxy Brown said: "It was 100 percent gone, overnight. They don't even know why. I have the best surgeon in the world who specializes in ear problems and the operations and surgeries and Wednesday night [in 2005], I was out shooting the cover of XXL with Jay-Z, Kanye West and LeBron, and Thursday morning I woke up and couldn't hear anything. I was completely deaf. 100 percent. "I just knew that God had got me then. Because I kept running and dodging him and he kept giving me signs and little warnings, and they say God will get you first in private and if he don't get you then, then he'll get you in public."

That was very nice to watch. Mo'Nique is such a nurturing woman. I respect her so much. She treats other Black women with dignity and respect. I didn't even recognize Pam Grier until the interview went on! That's so awesome that she actually has a relationship with Foxy. The humility that Foxy displayed was very refreshing to see. She has definitely come a long way. I hope the industry embraces her.

Mo'Nique is such a nurturing woman. I respect her so much. She treats other Black women with dignity and respect. By the way Foxy was crying into her arms, you can tell that people sense the qualities you mentioned in Mo'Nique. If you ever watch her show, she's all about loving everyone, including yourself, rather than cattiness and shade throwing. She's one of those rare people who truly don't give a fuck about what others think (open marriage) or fitting in (not shaving legs). Even back in the day, when she was talking about boppin' skinny bitches on the head, you could see it was all meant in love. Foxy needs to come with fire if she wants another chance at success. She hasn't fucked up her face with the knife but she hasn't had a hit in almost a decade either.

Foxy Brown: Lindsay Lohan's Jail Sentence 'Brought Back Tears And Memories' MC, who spent a year in prison, says, 'My heart goes out to Lindsay Lohan.'
By Kyle Anderson, with reporting by Sway Calloway and Jayson Rodriguez
Lindsay Lohan's jail sentence is already close to its conclusion, but the effects of her incarceration are still being felt. The recently-jailed actress received a show of support from a New York tanning salon on Tuesday, and Foxy Brown (herself a former inmate who spent a year at Rikers Island) also gave Lohan a shout-out when she visited the MTV News office on Tuesday.
"My heart goes out to Lindsay Lohan. I watched her being taken to jail and it brought back tears and memories. It wasn't all negative, I have to say that," Brown, who was arrested again last week, told MTV News. "People just automatically think that prison stereotypically is the worst place. I was unlawfully sent to prison for a year, but I kind of welcomed the serenity when I was sentenced and I knew I had to deal with this."
Like "Hills" star Stephanie Pratt, Brown used the time to better herself and even make some friends. "I said 'You know what? Let me make the best out of this time,' " Brown said. "I'm an avid reader, so I read a lot. And the inmates were amazing. I would sit down with them and we would play cards and converse. Talking to these different women from all walks of life was incredible. There were actually three females I met while in prison who I still write to and keep in contact with."
The rapper — whose new album Black Roses is scheduled to drop soon — didn't have any particular advice for Lohan, though she did think the whole situation was unfair.
"When Puff says 'Mo money, mo problems,' it's really true," she said. "It's such a blessing being a celebrity. There are a lot of perks to being a celebrity, but the downside of it? Oh, man. You're constantly targeted. We all need to be law-abiding citizens, but I think each case needs to be ruled by the law, as opposed to this is a celebrity who is doing this and needs to be taught a lesson."

I disagree about the last comment: BOTH Nicki and Foxy are Trini chicks who can spit some good Jamaican patois on a dancehall joint!

LMAO. Whats next? Amil releases a Foxy diss? So yeah...after a minute I had to pause it. The problem I have is that Foxy and Kim are still trying to come out with stuff. When you hear rumors about them getting ghost writers vs. writing their own rhymes you see the difference between the music of the 90s vs. now. that said, THEY NEED TO STOP. They are embarrassing themselves. I guess there is a time to know when you have to throw in the towel. This is a mess and I just hope Missy/eve/trina and others that have some sort of chance to become relevant again will be careful when they come back out.

"Nicki clearly drew from both Kim and me. And she hasn't been disrespectful to me in any way -- I haven't heard her be disrespectful toward anybody else but Kim. And at some point, it's like, 'O.K., Kim, you've had a problem with Foxy, you've had a problem with Nicki, you've had a problem with Faith, with Charli, with everybody. It's like, enough already.' I choose to stay out of it. Put out great music, and that's that." - Foxy Brown (2/24/11)

It's funny how Foxy said tht Kim should'nt be so focused on Nicki yet she's making records concerning Kim. Both of them just needs to focus on making great albums. It took Nicki for them to want to get involved with music again. Really...

Correct me if I haven't been keeping up on events here, but when Kim got out of prison (August 2006, I believe), she should have gone right back into the studio to make a full album, to try to capitalize on whatever publicity remained from her last album The Naked Truth (released when she went to prison). She went and did a mixtape instead (2008), and with Foxy in prison around this time, the door was pretty much wide open for Nicki to grab the spotlight.
I read that Kim's first full album since 2005 is scheduled to be released this year. Much too late. She should have had one on the racks by mid-2009. Or did like Cube, Latifah and the other legends did: Move to acting.

^Kim said Atlantic didn't see her direction and if she would have recorded it would have had to be under them and she didn't want that so she had to wait to get out of her contract

^Kim said Atlantic didn't see her direction and if she would have recorded it would have had to be under them and she didn't want that so she had to wait to get out of her contract That explains the 2008 mixtape, Ms. G.O.A.T. She should have gone full-tilt to acting to maintain her reputation, rather than let it turn to rust by appearing on reality and talent shows. Come to think of it, Foxy should have moved to acting as well. Then both wouldn't have had any reason to feel as if they were being maligned by the new breed, be it Nicki or anyone else.

Foxy's now trying to give Nicki credit o she won't seem salty about her success. She might be sincere though. By the way Latifa/Cube both released album not to long ago.

Cube and Latifah have been far more focused on their film careers for the last decade, although I do believe Latifah got a Grammy nomination for a jazz album she put out about 3 years ago.

Oh Na Na! The Ill Na Na Foxy Brown busted out on the red carpet in a cleavage-bearing outfit at BET’s “Rip the Runway” 2011 taping at New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom on Saturday (Feb. 26). A blue-eyed Foxy hit the haute spot as Keri Hilson, Wiz Khalifa, Lloyd, Fabolous, Melanie Fiona, Miguel, and New Boyz provided the soundtrack to the seventh annual celebration of music and fashion. Models flaunted designs by Rachel Roy, Tennille White, LaQuan Smith, Man vs. Machine, Lila Nikole, and more.
“Pretty Girl” Keri Hilson rocked the runway in combat boots, metallic gold shorts, and a sleeveless hoodie as designer Rachel Roy presented her latest creations, while Wiz Khalifa rolled through with a lively set and a dapper Lloyd seduced the ladies with his smooth sounds. Supermodel Selita Ebanks and actor-model Mehcad Brooks hosted the fashionable affair.

Foxy looked horrible last night.
I don't think she's coming back, her last "street album" was so bad.
And it bothers me that Nicki is now pretending that she has taken no inspiration from Kim just because of their beef. If you really want to be the bigger person, just admit that you have taken influence from a rap legend despite personal issues...not lying and pretending like you have mirrored Foxy's looks. And she has nothing in common with L. Boogie at all.

Just realized she released a digital single about two years ago. Anyone know if she's still working on a new album?

Foxy Brown Caught Stealing a $900 Weave, Hair Stylist Confronts Her
Foxy Brown reportedly stole a $900 weave from a hair salon in Brooklyn. Ill Na Na visted celebrity hair stylist Genevieve "GStar" Jean-Baptiste at the UDJAT Hair Salon and asked to have the fake hair put in her head. But instead of paying her bill, Brown ran out of the shop. Baptiste followed the rapper out of the salon, confronted her, and caught it all on Instagram video, which you can watch above. You can hear Jean-Baptiste say, "Give me my money Foxy Brown" and "This is going to all the blogs." Brown does appear to be handing her cash in the clip, though. Still, Jean-Baptiste had some harsh words for Brown. She posted a still from the video and said, "Foxy Brown is a BUM SHE OWES ME MAD MONEY AND NEEDS TO BE STOPPED." All caps for extra emphasis. Celena, also a hair stylist or as she likes to call herself "The Hair Extensionist", re-posted Jean-Baptiste's video on her Instagram. "This is the clearest I can get it... I applaud@hairbygstar for putting her on blast. Don't use your "status" to take advantage of people. If the everyday working class woman can pay for their services.. You can too #behindthechair #hairstylistproblems#weavology #weavologist #worldstarhiphop #wshh #," she said. There have been reports that Brown was in trouble with the IRS and, as of 2009, owed $641,558. But we didn't know it was like that. Tough times. www.complex.com/style/2013/07/foxy-brown-caught-stealing-weave
