"doesn't matter what song, I mean f**k, 4 minutes of Gaga clearing her throat would improve on that sosophisticated ditty known as California Gurls)"
I probably like California Girls better than any Gaga single (Notice I say single, not song.). Of course, my local station is playing it more than any other station in the country, so maybe it's just my sensibility.

I actually dont like California Gurls as much as I used to. It's what I would call "too easy"...like most California Gurls.

A bit dramatic, but *oh no he did not.*
Have you known girls from California all your life, grown up with them, loved them, lost them, hope you know some of them until the end? If you have and you still call most of them easy...I guess that's your opinion. But otherwise, please don't be calling my homegirls sluts.

^ But, they are sluts, and EVERYBODY knows it.
PS: I'm relieved that Usher is slowing down on Airplay.... as I always say, I like a fast rotation at #1. Let's hope OMG only manages 4 weeks at the top.
I'm still not losing hope on Alejandro reaching #1 before the epic battle for #1 between Airplanes and CG begins.
I tell you, those two songs are going to dominate the whole summer.

When I think of California Gurls, Katy is the last person I envision. Someone like Jennifer Aniston, though a New Yorker, looks more like the typical California Gurl. Sun-kissed skin? Katy Perry? really? But I like the song though, but it has burned out on me. Might be 'cause I was in LA for 9 days and this song was played like everywhere

OMG is a great song.
CG is not. Awful.
If I could choose, Bulletproof would be #1 on the Hot 100.

If I could choose, Bulletproof would be #1 on the Hot 100. dont really like the same formula to make CG as a state anthem song (as Paul Grein mentioned on Yahoo)....simply because the song is bad but Empire State of Mind is a cool one..a great example...nice stories behind the song

I love Paper Gangsta and Wonderful. I have another song on my iTunes which I consistently put in my T5 on the Pulse Countdown chart, and whose video I hope is good. I like Gossip Girl's use of Gaga in S1 & S2. I like the anorexic jail dance and gay sandwich dance in the Telephone video.
Just because I don't worship her, and my peak of love for her was spring/summer '08 does not mean I hate her. Basically I'm a fan of Kelly/Britney/Taylor/Lea and everyone else I like just some of their songs. Like California Girls is the only song I like that much from Katy, and I do like the song as my sig says it's one of my faves of the year.

It has this urban/middle eastern feel to it. I also love the song with her and Wale, such an underrated song!

I'm sorry, you totally contradicted yourself here. How can you say that the song has a "fresh sound" to it if it sounds like like most pop songs right now?

What's fresh about a sound that's been done before? It reminds me of AFY in a way. Sample an old song to try to sound relevant.

I like California Girls and OMG, the former more, but I'm not bitter that it didn't debut at #1.

Only about six one-hundreths of a point separates George Strait and Miranda Lambert at the moment. Given Miranda Lambert has the most momentum at the moment career-wise, I'm actually hoping the King of Country makes it there first, then Miranda Lambert can assume the top spot the following week.
