Definitely-I feel like her label is more into Hair. I think it could be HUGE, but reactions on the internet to it make me a bit more hesitant. It would need a radio edit though.

I like "Hair" but please, "Marry The Night" next. Totally agree. "Hair" is actually one of my least favorites from the album.

I don't want Hair or Marry the Night as the next single but if I had to choose between the two, I'd pick MTN.

Lady Gaga's 'Edge Of Glory' Video: Glory Days
E Street Band saxophonist Clarence Clemons appears in the video pre-stroke.
Remember, for a while there, when everyone was complaining that Lady Gaga's videos had, perhaps, gotten too big, too arty, too obtuse? That maybe the hype surrounding each clip's premiere overshadowed the clip itself? Well, for the foreseeable future, those criticisms can be put to rest.
Because on Thursday (June 16), Gaga premiered her brand-new video for "The Edge of Glory," a piece that's a little bit Madonna's "Papa Don't Preach," a little bit Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" and a whole lot of " '80s videos where someone dances on a fire escape while smoke pours from a well-lit window."
There is no hyperkinetic, women-in-prison kink, no odes to Weimar Germany and no birthing of a machine gun. Shoot, there's not even a single Christian allegory to be seen (OK, maybe one, when Gaga strikes a Christ-like pose on the concrete).
Instead, "Edge" is little more than five-and-a-half minutes of classic pop, brimming with imagery, style (and moves) that could've been lifted from millions of videos in the pop heyday of the 1980s. It is Gaga's free-spirited youth in New York's East Village, only reimagined on a Hollywood level (in another nod to the videos of yesteryear, it makes no attempt to hide the fact that it was clearly shot on a "New York"-styled backlot): She sashays and struts on a fire escape, descends to the perfectly foggy, still-wet streets of the city, and poses on the front steps of her apartment building, while none other than Clarence Clemons hits a note-perfect saxophone solo. It is a fantasy in every conceivable way, and if it reminds you of something you've seen before, well, that's because you probably did — not just in '80s vids, but in films like "Fame" and Broadway hits like "Rent," too — and chances are you loved it.
And while all the feel-good nostalgia is dampened a bit by the very of the moment drama surrounding the video (Clemons is currently recovering from a stroke he suffered over the weekend), "Edge of Glory" still manages to shine, mostly because of its simplicity. You wanted a straightforward, dance-till-you-drop, unabashedly-indebted video from Lady Gaga? Well, now you've got one. It's not a stretch to call it a classic, mostly because, well, it is — at least in its inspirations. And its aspirations too.

Lady Gaga Dances & Prances in “Edge of Glory” Video
Another day, another Lady Gaga video. This one is for "Edge of Glory," off Born This Way, and it's a departure from Gaga's previous adventures in excess, like this one, this one, and this one. And for a maximalist like Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta (we love calling her that, because it's probably how her mom addressed her when she was angry), the most shocking thing she could have done was not shock us. Well played, Stef!
The concept is simple: Lower East Side girl with a little frame and some big dreams, dances her face off in the steamy New York night, while Springteen’s saxophonist Clarence Clemons (who recently had a stroke and Gaga paid tribute to in a video) blasts away on that now-famous sax solo. We think the low-budget, retro vibe fits nicely with the song’s throwback feel and relatively straightforward message (She’s on the edge of glory).
Not every Gaga video needs to be an orgiastic extravaganza, but the next one better be, or we’ll start to lose interest, and quick.

I think the next single is either going to be "Hair" or "Marry the Night". Marry the Night isn't really that memorable imo. Hair with the right radio edit could go top 5. I would love it if they went with Scheiße though.

Hair has really grown on me, despite the cheesy and childish lyrics. It's very catchy and poppy and would be a great single.

I just find Marry the Night sort of boring and I feel like it would be an ok hit, but mostly because it is Gaga. I feel like I am missing something though because everyone seems to adore it and see it as the big hit from the album after EOG? I wonder what they will do for a final single. I have a feeling Hair and Marry the Night are getting releases whether we like it or not. I wonder if that will end the era or if they will throw out something else since Judas basically doesn't count I honestly cannot see them releasing Scheibe so what after that? You and I? Throwing out an oddball song like Bloody Mary or Bad Kids? She KILLED those performances and the interview.

MTN & Hair are good tracks but they are not favorites of mine. With the talk about MTN before it was heard (well at least by me) I expected a bit more.
My Top 3 tracks from BTW are...
Scheiße Government Hooker Bad Kids
So if Scheiße isn't next and GH won't ever become a single, than Bad Kids it is. ;)

I'm for Hair next,
and I can't believe that, because I didn't care for it on first listen... but now I just love the care-free spirit of the song. it's fantastic.

I think You And I should be the next single except for the fact that she's already been doing the piano-based performances for TEOG and TEOG's video was boring...which makes me want Schiebe...hard.

I'd be fine with that too. We would need a kickass video because radio will be resistant to the faux German. How about Hair in the USA and Scheisse for everywhere else? She can make 2 excellent videos, and eventually release Scheisse in the USA. Hair is a surefire hit in my opinion. I bet she wants MTN next, because that's what she wanted after Judas.

MTN is definitely a sure-fire choice...but I don't know that it's good enough to really blow up a la TEOG. Maybe if it has an amazing video.

After reading some of the comments here, I expected the video to be a steaming hot mess, but it really isn't that bad. I actually like its simplicity.

Biblo- who IS jeff1317 on twitter? If you look at June 13th tweet he said TEOG video contained nothing that has been reported. Now here we are. I know this isn't the first time either he's known little things here and there.

I hated "Hair" but it randomly clicked with me and I could see it being one of the better single choices.
Oh, and the Paul O'Grady Gaga special was brilliant.

what do you guys make of the sales? seems like it's been VERY frontloaded, hyped to the moon, and an aguilera-like, steep decline once on the market.

So glad the video is getting good reviews. :) + 1 I know some may feel that those who are praising the clip with it's nostalgia vibe are being spin doctors but it's like are we really going to act like Gaga isn't well-versed on pop culture past and present?. Even with the (rumored) alotted time she had left after she 'scrapped' her first idea, she is clever enough to think of something else. I mean obviously she isn't going to make and damn sure not release a video that isn't totally her vision. *sigh* I'll never understand the boo-boo faces about the rumored treatment of the video. I just can't be disappointed in something that was never fully acknowledged and I find it weird that various tweets from 'insiders' (about what supposedly occurred etc) came out the day the video was to premiere. Oh well, I'll just continue to accept the video for what it is. I've watched it a few times and I like it even more than my initial viewing reaction.

It's a boring disappointment from almost everything I've read on many sites thus far; including many gay sites and she has a huge gay following of course. It doesn't matter how many "great reviews" it gets.
