Who is that singing backup? For a second I thought it sounded like Patty Loveless.

Per the liner notes, the female backup singers are Melinda Doolittle and Jonelle Mosser. I don't know which is on this song.

Thanks! Sounds like it might be Jonelle Mosser after checking her out on YT.

I just realized the intro to this song sounds a lot like AKUS's The Lucky One.

I like this song but wish they would have used Different Shades of Blue for the first single. Oh well, I hope he gets some radio play with this one and then they can release the one I like next.

I'm really liking this. Sounds a lot like a lost Travis Tritt cut from the Restless Kind era.

I heard Bo sing this last week at WIRK in West Palm Beach during an acoustic performance. I really do like this song.

With Lofton Creek at the relm, I see this going nowhere on the main chart. May do well on the Music Row stations...

^Lofton Creek is a small indie label that seems satisfied with getting hits only on the lesser known charts. The only Top 40s they've ever produced were "I Loved Her First" and Mark Chesnutt's "Rollin' with the Flow", although a couple other Lofton Creek artists have dinged the charts. They're also fond of having artists put out six or seven singles that all go nowhere on Billboard — Doug Stone's last two albums are a good example. Another very recent Lofton Creek single is "Barefoot Girl" by Gwen Sebastian, which went very far on Music Row charts but didn't come within a mile of Billboard. The Music Row charts are a singles chart at www.musicrow.com that survey mostly smaller-market stations. They get a lot of independent material that a lot of the Billboard stations never play. My local station, WATZ, is on their panel and often plays Lofton Creek artists. They also put this song in rotation the week it was released.

Thank you for the explanation. Is there anywhere that lists the stations that report to Mediabase?
Edit - I meant to ask which stations report to Music Row.
Thanks.

For another explanation on the Music Row/Activator charts, Steve Azar is @ 14 with "Sunshine" while Jayme Lynn Scott (Big 7 Records/Lofton Creek) Is at 30. Gwen Sebastian 35 and other indies like Jonalee White is @ 36, LoCash Cowboys are @ 38 and Scott Lindsey at 39.
So the music row charts are quite different. In fact, Lee Brice is on his way down on that chart.

This is from the Billboard COUNTRY Update Issues thread (page 12 Country Indicator)
Any explanation of the indicator chart source/meaning would be appreciated.

It certainly isn't blasting up any charts but it is showing up. Country Breakout chart this week. Billboard - 08/02 Apparently a video has been completed but no announcement as to when or where it is going to be released.

Thanks for the link. It isn't an earth-shattering video but I like the song and the old pictures. Hope it gets him some play on GAC or CMT.

It is true that it is not ground breaking but then I've never considered Bo a ground breaking artist other than blowing the doors wide open on Idol. I did have an opportunity to see the video on a larger screen and some of the things that initially bothered me disappeared. I guess Marcel Chagnon was filming it for a TV screen not my computer laptop. I love how the photos of Bo's life are interspersed throughout. The song is very meaningful to Bo and inspired by his father shown in the last shot. Very tastefully done. IMO
I applaud his courage to shoot the video since he most likely had to pay for it himself and it doesn't appear his label has plans as to where to show it. But, good luck.
I recently saw his acoustic show at Buck Owen's Crystal Palace (just Bo and his guitar) and he really has an awesome voice.

Bo's official video of You Take Yourself With You is debuting on GAC today. I'm not sure I understand the timing since the song has fallen off every chart I see. GAC
