According to GinuwineZone.com, among other sources, Ginuwine announced on the radio that "I'm In Love" is the second single off the album, "Back II Da Basics", which happens to be in stores in now.
Reminds me of "Differences" in a way, but more mellow. Hopefully this is a big hit for him - the album is pretty good to me. I give it (the song), a 8.5/10.

I love it. Much better than the current single, but will probably see the same success.

It sounds like "That's What It's Made For" by Usher. It's not one of my favorite Ginuwine songs or anything, but I really respect him for sticking with his opinion that if people don't want to hear the slow jams then it's their problem because he's not going to release s**t like "Hell Yeah" just to get instant airplay.

It does kinda sound like "That's What It's Made For" alittle bit.. maybe it's the beat... something about this reminds me of that.

...I really respect him for sticking with his opinion that if people don't want to hear the slow jams then it's their problem... I love slow jams as much as the next person, BUT lets make some quality and catchy ones. I blame producers and songwriters for giving the artists sh***y songs. Ginuwine needs to give us another "Stingy" or "In Those Jeans" not post-112 or Boyz II Men crap.

I think "Glaze In My Eye" should be the next single. I LOVE the whole album, but that's my favorite. :)

Seductive ballads and screaming female fans have always equaled success for Ginuwine, and he's not about to change up the formula.
On his just-released fifth album, Back II Da Basics, the soulful R&B singer says he's proud he's still making 'em drool.
"Ten years in the business ... I gotta say that 'cause 10 years in this business is crazy," said Ginuwine, shaking his head, on the red carpet at the recent Vibe Awards (see "Mariah Wins Big, Mary J. Gets Emotional At Peaceful Vibe Awards"). "I've stood the test of time, weathered a lot of storms and hurdled a lot of obstacles. I'm still here and I'm doing my thing."
As Back II Da Basics suggests, Ginuwine says his latest album returns to a time when there were no temptations to stray from his core formula.
"[The title is] a reminder to myself to take it back to when I first started and not look at it so much as a business," Ginuwine explained. "You gotta learn how to have fun with it too."
The album's first single, "When We Make Love," upholds the singer's reputation as a ladies' man.
"Oh, it's self-explanatory; it's [about] the sounds of lovemaking," he explained before expounding on the video treatment. "It's me wanting to get to my girl ... we hug, we kiss, all that kind of stuff ... [it's] a typical Ginuwine video."
Back II Da Basics — which features production work from Jazze Pha and the Trackmasters — gathers 15 tracks, including "I'm So in Love," a ballad lined up to be the second single.
Ginuwine says he's looking forward to being back onstage in the spring to promote the album. Never one to back away from other heartthrob powerhouses, (see "Ginuwine, Jagged Edge Join Forces to Seduce the Country"), he says he hopes to get together with another heartbreaking act sure to bring the girls in by the droves.
"We talking about going on the road with Justin [Timberlake]," Ginuwine said. "He's going on the road I believe in May and hopefully we can go on the road with him."

the production on the album is poor, that's why he's not doing well. this song is hardly an exception.

As long as it's a convetional Ginuwine ballad or slow jam and not as cheesy generic as WWML, Ginuwine will do fine with his next radio release, and that's 4 sho.

the production on the album is poor, that's why he's not doing well. this song is hardly an exception. That couldn't be further from the truth. First off, the reason why the album isn't doing well -- is stictly promotion, and Sony's failure to put out a better song for the first single. They saw that "When We Make Love" was doing poorly and never peaked very highly and they haven't established any add date for "I'm In Love" yet, 3 months after When We Make Love was released and never did as well as other Ginuwine songs. Ginuwine is not some new cat, he's been in this game for 10 years, he deserves much more promotion than this. 3/4's of the people who listen to Urban music don't even realize he has an album out. And if Trackmasters/Jazzy Pha isn't good enough production then I don't know what is. The beats are one of the last things wrong with the album. The thing that's killing this album is single choices, and promotion. With all that said, I would of picked "Secrets" as the first single, "She's Like" as the second, and "I'm In Love" as the third. I would of used "When We Make Love" as a teaser.

I'm in Love GINUWINE Producer(s): Troy Oliver Genre: R&B Label: Epic (CD promo)
A parched R&B scenario is in need of some good old-fashioned soul music to offset the endless assault of cartoon-like hip-hop records. Ginuwine returns with a track that complements Kanye West's artistic output, featuring a sensual lovesick lyric, layered vocals that make their mark and a hip-swaying track that should seduce the minions. Ginuwine has had his share of hits and misses, but "I'm in Love" feels like a solid return. His spoken shout-out at the midsection alone should help ease the winter chill, from Maine to Montana. From "Back II Da Basics." —Chuck Taylor

It's funny, but he performed "Secrets" on the Ellen Degeneres show last week, and I assumed that was his new single.

I like it, but not sure it was the best choice as the next single.
'Want U To Be" would have been my choice.

What the hell is Sony waiting for? When We Make Love has been peaked. No add date for this or any other song for that matter.

It seems that Sony has truly dropped the ball on Ginuwine's release. If this is the single, shouldn't it have been sent to radio at least a month ago? What's the hold-up. Couple that with the lackluster promotion G has been given and no wonder that the CD has been out for 2 months and has only sold 200,000 copies. I wish that Sony would get to promoting.

I hope Ginuwine sells at least gold for this album. It's in big need of a hit to get people's attention that the album even came out.

Anybody know the add date? I think I read 2/13 or 2/14, which is right around Valentine's day!

This is ridiculous. This song should've been released at least 4 weeks ago. As soon as Epic realized that WWML was flopping, they should have been putting this out. Now, I'm disgusted that folks like Faith Evans, Missy Elliott and now Ginuwine can't even get proper promotion, and they've been holding it down consistently for the last 10 years and can blow away any of these new cats.

This is blowing up at Urban. Should of went for universal adds (Rhythmic/Urban/Pop). Certified hit.
