How is this track doing now? It's got 101 spins from Urban and UAC. I don't think it ever went for adds nor is it going to but it doesn't matter at this point because flop is Toni Braxton's middle name these days.

So despite going gold "Libra" was pretty much a flop. With three non singles flopping. It's pretty sad I had hope after her impressive opening week numbers

It's one of the maost happening cuts on the CD. It's too bad it made no noise. They used to rotate it every other hour on stations here in Chicago, but it was the only Urban station doing so. I;m disappointed that the CD has fared so poorly because the material on it is pretty good especially for Toni's style. She does not try to be something she's not, but for some reason, radio must think that 38 is too old to be played OR Blackground ain't doing their job.

I think it's the worst Toni song ever I thought Please was hot, i don't know what kind of track could save her career, maybe a ballad with strong vocal like she used to do back in the dayz ???

Take This Ring is hot too, but a 1 Thing sound-a-like.. The song you're describing is "I Wanna Be Your Baby", and to be honest -all of my non-Toni fan friends seem to love this one.

A shift in musical taste. Failing that... While i'd hate to see Toni reduced to a video Ho, she might consider being featured singing the hooks in a few hot rap singles from {insert flavor of the month rapper here}. She'd fit well in a Ludacris song.

She'd fit well in a Ludacris song. it saved Mariah's career.... Jadakiss and Busta's songs sparked interest and then Came "MIMIM"

The Song Will Be Finally Released . She Make The Video This week. I think this a great song, but it maybe way too late in the game for this song to be succesful. Having listend to the CD again, this CD should not have tanked..... New topic on the board should be -- When Bad Things Happen to Good CDs.... we could add Missy E, Tweet, Amerie, Brooke Valentine, (maybe) Faith, and host of others.

I disagree. I think Libra is her best work since Secrets. If you've only heard the singles you don't know what this album really sounds like.

Actually, in a totally different tier than The Heat and More Than A Woman. It's still the album I'm listening to most after several months now.

The album is better than More Than A Woman but that isn't saying much. "Please", "Sposed To Be", "Trippin'" and "Midnite" are the only good tracks while everything else is total filler, especially the last three tracks which are sleep inducing. With that said, I wish her all the luck in the world with the release of "Take This Ring" even if it isn't one of my favorites from her.

Yeah, I think they tried to strike a balance between new & old toni and in trying to please everybody instead pleased almost nobody. Love Midnite though.

It's too similar to Amerie's One Thing which came out this time last year. Although it's the most commercial song, Blackground should try something else that would work more comfrotably on Urban/Urban AC instead of wasting money.

yea..she just needs to scrap this album and start working on her next album..trippin was good but it wasn't as good as "be without you" "we belong together" and "burn"..she needs to bring her old voice back I haven't liked the way she sings since she started that slurring crap in "he wasn't man enough"

I also think timing was a factor....beyonce/destiny's child, Mariah,Ciara,Gwen Stefani, and Kelly Clarkson were the "it" girls and their influence started in 2003 with beyonce and continued all through 2005 and it probably will carry through all of 2006. other artists tried to immulate their success by using the same producers and video directors but when the aforementioned artists did it it was fresh and new..and by the time toni dropped please and amerie tried crunk n b with touch the young music buying audience had moved on.
