Late and technically off-topic, but "Peacock" has the best Pop-catchy melody of the entire album. It's a shame it has such silly lyrics or else it would probably be an even bigger hit than CG.
As for this song, I thought it was going to peak around now, position-wise, but not only it is still going strong, there isn't even really any competition for no. 1. Seems like a lock.

The backing track of Peacock is being played on CBS's coverage of the US Open. It's the instrumental from the second verse, it sounds like.

The whole "let me see your peacock" thing doesn't sit well with me. I need to dig deeper to find the humor in it. But I guess the percentage of straight males who still listen to TOP40 radio and would care is minimal compared to other demographics. |

The reception for Peacock has been awful so far so releasing it as a single would not be a smart move, and I think the lyrics are too outright crude for radio without much room for an easy censorship. It would probably perform very similarly to Blah Blah Blah, maybe even worse.

I love Katy and the album is awesome, but I really hate the way they are going with the singles. Firework is meh and peacock is just  . I really hope peacock never sees the light of day... Anyway, TD is a beast - its going #1 for sure  |

I thought this song was just about to peak (not in my heart, though, I still love this song just as much as I did the first time I heard it!) but I was so pleasantly astounded when I looked at mediabase and saw this with a bullet over +2000! yeah girl, get it Katy! So stoked!
