For some reason songs titled "Haunted" are always good in my book I'm excited for that one, "Innocent" and "Mean"

I just noticed that "Mine" is the shortest song on the album. I'm surprised that she isn't doing a 13 track album (without bonuses). I think it was going to be 13. But they added SF late because of all the petitions from fans. And didn't want to take another song off. Good thing they didn't make SF a bonus track to maintain that 13-song tracklisting. This means more people will hear it and it might be released a single. :)

V-Album? I thought the Target deluxe was a CD/DVD, but now it's an enhanced CD that needs special software to run? It doesn't even look like it'll work on my OS (not that I'd want to install a program for just one CD); how disappointing.

The V album is downloadable purchase from Target. There's also a physical CD/DVD combo you can purchase online or buy from a Target brick and mortar shop.
So there'll be 2 versions of the Target deluxe album : an mp3 V album and a physical CD/DVD combo.

Now I'm more confused.... My friend had the CD/DVD preordered for Speak Now and preorder was switched to a deluxe CD and the URL she ordered from is redirecting to there as well. And she's freaking out because she doesn't know where to preorder the DVD, haha. Does someone have a link to the DVD version?

Taylor #1 on Billboard 's "21 under 21" List!!!!!!!!!! No. 1: Taylor Swift Birthdate: December 13, 1989 (age 20) Why She's Hot: Ms. Swift may have been dissed by Kanye while the world was watching, but she handled "Taylorgate" with the class of a woman rather than a teenager. Perhaps it's because, at the ripe old age of 20, Swift is already a veteran in the music game. At age 14, she became the youngest staff songwriter in the history of Sony/ATV Music Publishing, and two years later, she landed on the charts with her first hit single, "Tim McGraw." Since then, Taylor's rise has indeed been swift; her sophomore LP "Fearless" ruled as 2009's top-selling album, and was awarded that year's Album of the Year Grammy. Now, the CMA Entertainer of the Year is set to do it all again - "Mine," the first single from her new album "Speak Now," is a Hot 100 smash and "Innocent," the song she penned about her run-in with Kanye, is already a viral sensation, thanks to its buzzed-about debut on this year's VMAs. Lots of young stars will be making waves over the next year, but Taylor is geared up to hit the music world like a tsunami. Brace for the impact. www.billboard.com/features/21-under-21-1004116452.story

Just watched the performances, she sounded amazing! She's really better without her loud backup singer sometimes.

She does have a nice voice. She just doesn't always use it the best. She has problems when she tries to sing bigger than her voice can do. Hopefully experience will help that and she'll get better as she gets older.
But I think she always sounds best acoustically. Even moreso than her recorded songs sometimes. Like with 'Mine'. I think that live performance was better than the studio version.

Taylor Swift sparkles at Country Music Hall of Fame fundraiser
Country Music Hall of Fame events usually bring out well-heeled execs in suits and women dressed to the nines. Thursday night's fundraiser in Los Angeles brought out little girls in cowboy boots holding hands with their moms. The reason? Taylor Swift was in the house. "We were smart enough to invite this kid," joked Vince Gill, as he introduced the 20-year-old country-pop sensation. "We dig her because she sold all the tickets. Miss Taylor Swift, everybody!"People sipping wine in the floor seats chuckled knowingly. People in the balcony seats screamed their heads off. Swift herself sat demurely on the stage in a knee-length daffodil yellow dress, flanked by icons. To her left - Gill and Hall of Fame members Emmylou Harris and Kris Kristofferson. To her right - a playful Lionel Richie, who insisted on being called "LioNEL" the entire evening, a throwback to his self-proclaimed "big hair" days with the Commodores. The five artists were participating in a time-honored country music tradition, the Guitar Pull - a round-robin where each musician takes a turn performing a song. Swift strummed along softly as Kristofferson sang "Me and Bobby McGee" with Harris on back-up vocals. Richie played piano and goaded Gill into an impromptu guitar solo during "Easy," his 1977 hit with the Commodores. After Swift performed her latest single, "Mine," Gill made a personal request for "Fifteen," an ode to her freshman year in high school. "I was thinking about writing a song called 'Fifty,'" he quipped. Richie's R&B and pop classics were a refreshing twist, and the melodies played well against the country tunes of his peers on stage. In fact, his songs will be reinterpreted by country artists in an upcoming CD produced by Nashville's Tony Brown. Gill said he and his wife, Amy Grant, would be covering "Easy." As for Swift, she more than held her own with this bunch of veteran singer/songwriters two and three times her age. The acoustic setting showcased the intimate nature of her songwriting, and her voice sounded strong against the quiet backdrop - unlike some award show performances, where her voice occasionally loses focus when competing against splashy stage productions. The performance for the Country Music Hall of Fame proved she had every right to share the spotlight with such icons as Kristofferson, Gill, Harris and Richie. Her unique ability to grow the country music audience while effortlessly nabbing awards like the 2010 Grammy for "Album of Year" speak to her impact as an artist. As she reached for her trademark guitar encrusted in sparkly Swarovski crystals, Gill couldn't help busting her chops. "Oh yeah, come on Buck Owens!" he roared as Harris asked pragmatically, "You're going to give it to the Hall of Fame, right?" "Eventually," Swift replied. marquee.blogs.cnn.com/2010/09/24/taylor-swift-sparkles-at-country-music-hall-of-fame-fundraiser/

I just feel more emotion in it as well.

I think that live performance was better than the studio version. I think she does have a nice tone when singing in her lower register. Just lacks good control of her voice, and consistency. Problem is, sometimes the songs that she writes don't suit her vocal range that well, making it whiny and shaky when she tries to reach some of the notes. For me, her voice at best can be described as "ok". Never amazing. And I agree, generally, she tends to sound a little better in acoustic performances.

Long article from CMT.com.Kris Kristofferson said some nice things about Taylor. Taylor Swift, Kris Kristofferson Bond at Country Music Hall of Fame FundraiserTaylor Swift (left), Lionel Richie, Emmylou Harris, Kris Kristofferson and Vince GillBefore the show, the five performers posed for photographs together, but Swift and Kristofferson in particular seemed to share a special bond, having connected at the last BMI Country Awards in Nashville. Never mind that the cowboy boots he wore were literally decades older than Swift herself. He effusively sang the praises of her songwriting, and when CMT.com asked Kristofferson if she would be a Hall of Famer someday, he practically bellowed, "She's already in the Hall of Fame!" More quietly, he added, "So damn nice, too!"
Leaving the photo shoot, Swift practically had to fan herself as she got back to her dressing room to tell her mom about the meet-up with Kristofferson.
"I felt like I was going to pass out!" she said. "He said so many nice things about my songwriting, and he said, 'I don't see what will stop you from having the most beautiful life and career.' I can't even remember everything he said. I blacked out a little bit."Full Article : www.cmt.com/news/country-music/1648666/taylor-swift-kris-kristofferson-bond-at-country-music-hall-of-fame-fundraiser.jhtml

Taylor Swift Dresses Like A Rainbow!Taylor Swift's style keeps evolving as she grows older, and one thing she's definitely into are bright, BRIGHT dresses. Just last night, Taylor Swift wore a vibrant yellow dress to the Country Music Hall in California, and last week she wore a radiant green Miu Miu dress to the premiere of Easy A. So, we wondered, what happens when you put all her colorful dresses together? You get a Taylor Swift Rainbow! Pretty, right? As for a favorite hue, we thought she looked absolutely spectacular in yellow, so that's our favorite color of the Taylor Rainbow. But what's yours? style.mtv.com/2010/09/24/taylor-swift-pictures/

Taylor is going to make an appearance on The Rachael Ray Show this upcoming Monday. She will suprise a special fan named Emily, who taught herself to play the guitar by using Taylor's songs when she was forced to stay inside during her cancer treatment.

The website must've meant to say that the countdown started 10/5 and not 10/15. This makes much more sense.
