Thanks for the numbers, melody.
Gorl, that's true- there are 10 albums selling in the 6K-7K range, but then there's 27 selling in the 5K-6K range, 36 in the 4K-5K range and about 60 selling in the 3K-4K range.

You make a very good point 2m. I guess im more looking at it from a historian point of view. Would like the documentation. But i think your point could really be the truth. I disagree about RIAA certifications not being as important. Most of the current albums on the Billboard 200 have an RIAA certification. Only about 6 are missing RIAA certs. I think Gold and Platinum album certifications will always be given. Updating these certifications to multi-platinum status may become less likely.

It already outsold I'm Not Dead right? Of course it outsold Try This, and it might be close to Can't Take Me Home. That one was certified 2xPlatinum, but I don't know actual sales.

I think Gold and Platinum album certifications will always be given. Relapse isnt even certified Gold and it's over 2,000,000. That is pretty sad.

Her debut has scanned 2.4 million, her 2nd has done 5.2 million, TT has done in the 700,00 range, and IND has done a little over 1.5 million and is still selling over 1,000 a week.
