Arcade Fire i would be shocked if they sold more than 60K. Shelton? Maybe. I admit not being too familar with his fan base. But a maybe on Shelton. If you give me some of his past numbers than i may change my tone. He released the EP "Hillbilly Bone" earlier this year and sold 71k copies in its first week. Good to know. I know Country still sells big time in this Country so i didnt want to be underestimating him. I was going to say he would probably on par for 100-110K before knowing anything about him.

www.billboard.biz/bbbiz/content_display/industry/e3i7deb554f2e0e8b2f5315fdbf03e93197Avenged Sevenfold Gunning For A Possible No. 1 Debut July 28, 2010 - Retail By Keith Caulfield Next week on the Billboard 200 albums chart, rock band Avenged Sevenfold is gunning for a possible No. 1 debut with its new album, "Nightmare." Initial sales projections from industry prognosticators suggest that the album could sell in the range of 160,000 to 180,000 by week's end on Aug. 8. Of course, as we saw last week, sometimes projections don't always pan out. It's not over until next Wednesday morning when the new chart is unveiled, but if Avenged Sevenfold makes it to No. 1 it'll mark the group's first chart-topper. The band's 2007 self-titled set debuted and peaked at No. 4 with 94,000 sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Eminem's "Recovery" has a chance at holding at No. 1 for a sixth frame. This past week, the album shifted 187,000 with a small decline of just 4% compared to the previous frame. However, that tiny drop in sales was likely owed to the album's sale pricing and promotion at Target and Best Buy. It's a safe bet to think that "Recovery" will see a sizable drop after the glow of the sale pricing wears off -- and that drop could be enough to let Avenged Sevenfold enter at No. 1. Avenged Sevenfold's "Nightmare" may be the only debut in the top 10 next week. The next-highest entering set could be Tech N9ne's new collaberations offering "The Gates Mixed Plate," which aiming for the top 15.

Pink jumps from 76-59 this week.
As expected, Ms. Aguilera's new video didn't cause Bionic to experience much of a turnaround- up three positions to No. 56.

Maybe Pink will go even a little bit higher next week? The Oprah effect didn't really happen until later in the tracking week.

It was more due to being featured in the Best Buy circular for being on sale last week for $9.99. Dude, you gotta start checking the Target/Best Buy circulars each week. They are on the T/BB websites.

^Not much of a gain, considering the placement/pricing. I actually do glance at the circulars from time to time, the old-fashioned way. :) (and sometimes on the site)

Whats the longest an album has stayed in the Top 100? Maybe Thriller, 2 or 3 years. I know "Come On Over" by Shania Twain was around seemingly forever.

Billboard 200 longevity records have little meaning when there was 19 years where the real long running albums didn't chart anywhere except comprehensive and catalog Dark Side of The Moon has charted either on BB200 or catalog for over 1700 weeks & is still charting today

I was off by 6 with thriller. Dang at west side story though. Four of those albums are from the 60s correct with MJ's being the latest one with it being in the 80s?

Yeah.,Michael Jackson's album "Thriller" has spent record 37 weeks at #1. It is the non-soundtrack album to stay that long. West Side Story has spent 54 weeks on top but it's a soundtrack album. The Dark Side Of The Moon has spent 768 weeks on BB 200 chart. I think it holds the record for longevity on BB 200.

I think it holds the record for longevity on BB 200. 768 plus all those weeks between 1991 and 2009 where it was among the 200 best selling albums of the week and not factored into this chart. The exact number will never be known but the closest we have is the catalog chart where you would add close to another 1000 weeks to this number

The question should probably be whats the longest an album has stayed in the Top 100 since 2000? Not gonna lie.. I was just curious because of Funhouse being in its 91st week and rising to 59. It has yet to fall out of the Top 100.
