I do think, barring an exploding new single, that Dynamite takes it next week (for one or two weeks).

I don't see Dynamite taking it in the new two. We will see. I think LTWYL is safe this week and next. Then it will be in jeopardy.

LTWYL has 2 versions selling very well on ITUNES. It could retake the #1 spot digitally next week (when Taylor slips) and be #1 on airplay. I think it has another 3 weeks on lock

Yeah. Combine the two versions of LTWYL in the Top 36 and it's pretty solid.

Really, Dynamite doesn't stand a chance for at least another 3 weeks. By then Taylor will probably take over the #1 spot. I don't see Dynomite ever getting to #1 on the HOT 100 maybe #2 but not #1.

Aren't most POP songs similar in contruction for the most part? Same with R&B, punk rock, metal, etc; That's why there are genres of music lol. Yes, and this says it all.

Ok...dumb question in the wrong thread but....where is the BB200 thread? The figures are not out yet. I usually post it around 11am EST. Depends on when Billboard updates its websites.

Ok...dumb question in the wrong thread but....where is the BB200 thread? That's weird! If it was a new member then it'd be alright but you have 2k+ posts. Anyways, if you mean the new BB200 thread then it hasn't been created yet because BB haven't reported their numbers and rankings. But if u mean the old one, then you can search through page 1 maybe 2 on this forum and you'll find it.

Stuff like this is so stupid. People are aware there are only limited musical notes, right?

Via Idol Chatter
Adam Lambert's If I Had You sold more than 35,000 copies last week, making it the most-downloaded track from any Idol last week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Daughtry's September also had an especially good week, with its downloads increasing 49% over the previous week.

I expect a minimal drop next week, those were great numbers, especially considering she did it in only four days.

Sales of 297k may not be enough for #2 on the Hot 100. Taio Cruz and/or Katy Perry could maybe have more points than Taylor.

Sales of 297k may not be enough for #2 on the Hot 100. Taio Cruz and/or Katy Perry could maybe have more points than Taylor. And plus Taylor went from zero airplay in the beginning of the week to a fair amount of well over 20 million AI, the airplay tracking week ended today.

20m is still only equal to 20k in sales.
She'll have about 317 in points. Katy Perry had ~311 last week for #2. So unless CG had an unexpected sales increase Taylor is probably ahead of her. But Taio has about 91m in airplay. If he has roughly >226k in sales he would be higher than Taylor.

If Taylor had waited one more week to release this, she might've had a shot at #1.

If Taylor had waited one more week to release this, she might've had a shot at #1. the single was supposed to come out on the 15th, but someone leaked and forced her label to release the music in a wednesday afternoon, roughly two weeks before they were planning on releasing.

It really sucked that some douchebag leaked it because honestly I don't think she'll have a shot at #1 again with this song.

Besides, would it REALLY have made all the difference had they released it a few days later to take advantage of a full week of sales? Even if the song had leaked, would it have stopped a hundred thousand people from buying it? I think she has enough fans that they would have bought it anyway in its debut week?

I guess they would rather have a few more downloads than a guaranteed #1. As a chart watcher, I would rather have a #1, but since they are in the business of making money, I guess they would rather have a few more thousand dollars. I still think a guaranteed #1 on the Hot100 would be more beneficial, but I guess Swift is so popular that they figure she doesn't need the publicity (and she still will probably get a #1).
