plus why is she being promoted as an urban artist all of a sudden? Maybe that is her direction... She's always had an urban vibe, so it's not that big of a change.

She should go back to her Pop sound. Too Little Too Late type flow. But keep it mature. Im not really feeling this.

I agree with you. Urban is not really her forte and she should stick to stuff like Too Little Too Late. I don't think she'll do too well with an Urban sound...

It's just one song. A highly experimental one for her too. I've heard her do Urban, and she does it very damn well. I think she's versatile enough. I think she should just continue blending Urban and Pop.
Although this is weird, I think I k-kinda like it.

I would be fine with her continuing in an urban direction if it lead to more songs like this. I love this.

Agreed with those who are impressed. It's like electro mixed with early 90s New Age, and she pulls it off surprisingly well.

This has been stuck in my head all. day. This is terrific. The beat? Her vocals. It's such an interesting song! I cannot wait to see the video for this. Why are people surprised by her going in an urban direction? ??? Her singles may have been very "pop" but all of her album tracks have been, for the most part, very urban-influenced. JoJo4Lyfe?

I really love her and I don't hate the new sound.
However, I love her mostly for her voice and in this new sound/song, her voice doesn't shine at all and we can barely hear what she sing.

I don't know if I like it or not. I want to like it, but it's just all too weird. Her voice is hardly recognizable or clear to understand. It's really just... weird.

Yea I was surprised by those comments too. Obviously this track has louder bass and it a little more beat driven, but she's always been marketed in the pop/r&b direction. 'This Time'

Exactly! The High Road was filled with those urban leaning smashes: This Time The Way You Do Me Anything Like That Good Ol' Let It RainMost of the producers that she has worked with for both albums are Urban based. Hell Not That Kinda Girl was straight up Urban through and through. I'm loving this track. She gets a pass on the auto-tune because this mixtape is for her to experiment with her voice because we all know she has the pipes.

Looooove this. I do think it might not be a great first single, but it's an amazing buzz single. The chorus! Ahhh so ready for new Jojo

The title is bothering me. Isn't it, "(I Only Know Him) In The Dark" ?

I really like this song and I'm enjoying the whole mix tape. It's nice to have Jojo around again even if it isn't a real album. And I'm excited to see her taking a step toward the urban direction. This mixtape reminds me a lot of Christina's Stripped... and In The Dark is equivalent to Christina's Get Mine, Get Yours.
