Mariah was just on the Today show and said that she is indeed pregnant!!!  She also said she suffered a miscarriage which would explain why they wanted to wait to make any sort of official announcement. That must have been really tough on them, but at least they seem confident that it won't happen again or else they wouldn't be making an announcement. I believe celebrations are in order! |

Two years ago, shortly after the couple's secret wedding, Carey and Cannon were in Monte Carlo for the World Music Awards when Carey took a pregnancy test, and it turned out to be positive. "Only one person knew about this and we were like, um, 'let's not tell anybody else,'" Carey said. A little more than a month later, she miscarried. "It was really sad so we had to just, we had really to absorb this and take it in," Carey said. Cannon added, "And that's what I said, like her strength would literally be during the day so festive and smiling obviously for cameras and spending time with everyone and you know, literally that night crying herself to sleep." Bush added on TODAY that the couple conceived naturally, and that they would not be finding out whether the baby was a boy or a girl before its birth. YES! That's why she has been more low-key and not always working.
She probably chose now because a lot of her miscarriages happened within the 1st couple of months. She's probably far along now where she feels comfortable talking about it.

Wow..this is awesome news.
Not to get ahead of myself - but, I hope this baby is what she needs for her to finally start living a more traditional life. Music has run her life for so many years - hopefully now she can find happiness and fulfillment in building a family instead of making hits. Especially with her own upbringing being as "dysfunctional" as she describes.
I'm so incredibly happy for her and Nick!
And I hope she has a girl! Mini Mimi.

CONGRATS MARIAH & NICK!! I guess with all the promotion coming up she really wont be able to hide it much longer. I feel so bad about the miscarriage, but that jus brought the 2 closer, and imagine how you jus love your son/daughter that much more.. The music writing during her pregnancy will prob be extroudenary.. as well as her singin.. this Christmas Album is definately a step in the right direction with her voice.. It really is her best vocals since god only knows which album..
