Pitbull was added as a performer. ...this better not be another performance of Give Me Everything, because we've already had it twice before at the Billboards and the VMAs. If GME AND MLJ are performed on the AMAs... I will tune out. Both songs have been performed to death on television. The only way it could be worse is if Katy got up there and did "Firework."

I am getting so tired of "Moves Like Jagger". Maroon 5 will be performing it on SNL November 4th and then again shortly after on the AMA. Plus they already did it on AGT and The Voice and Football half-time show and Ellen. Time to end this!

Ah, they're playing the "lets milk this song out as long as we can cuz we'll never have another hit like this again" game.

Will the Amas be the second time the song is performed with Christina? I only remember one? She will show up looking like a hot mess and randomly throw all the vocal improvements she has made lately out the window, I am sure. Aguilera loves to sabotage herself.

Performers: Pitbull (Marc Anthony was also announced, I assume he'll be in this performance) They'll be performing a song that has long peaked and wasn't even more than a minor hit?

But you're missing Chris Brown & David Guetta Ft. Usher. There's at least 5 more to be announced I believe.

I just saw a commercial for the AMA's on ABC & they named Taylor as a performer, so maybe he was going off that?

Anyone think GaGa's gonna perform? It'd only make sense with her new single and all.

With the exception of the David Guetta w/Nicki Minaj opener, the following collaborations were announced today via press release:
David Guetta w/Nicki Minaj Gym Class Heroes w/Adam Levine Jennifer Lopez w/will.i.am Maroon 5 w/Christina Aguilera Pitbull w/Marc Anthony & Lil' Jon
Previously announced performers:
Katy Perry Justin Bieber Taylor Swift (According to the TV ad airing) LMFAO Kelly Clarkson Mary J. Blige Chris Brown
New performers announced today: Daughtry Enrique Iglesias The Band Perry OneRepublic
Hot Chelle Rae - ? (Billboard says they're performing but I don't see it in the press release or anywhere else but FMBQ for that matter.)
And I could have sworn Usher was confirmed somewhere...

So that's about 23-24 acts in total. Seems like this is the final lineup. If so, then this show shouldn't be too bad. :)

It's usually 18-19 performances with a couple collabs within those performances. So there should be 2-3 more performers/performances announced. At least if they follow tradition.
Taylor hasn't been officially announced I think. So the next press release will probably spotlight her and two other acts. Another country act and an older crowd pleaser most likely.

The only performance I'm looking forward to is Kelly Clarkson.

Yeah this is a really weak line-up in comparison to the last few years.

Well there haven't been many memorable performers this year. Britney's on tour in Latin America and aren't both GaGa and Rihanna also touring? I don't regularly follow them so I may be wrong.
Apparently J. Lo is performing twice. Once with will.I.am and once with Pitbull. So that means Pitbull will be performing twice too. Accounting for an additional performance.

I'm pretty sure Lady Gaga isn't touring; surprised she won't be performing this year. It could be a huge tool to promote her new song.

I don't think it's a weak line-up. I actually like it and am looking forward to the show.

Wouldn't be surprised if Gaga surprised? MTN is starting up, she's going everywhere to promote and the BTW Deluxe is out on Monday.

They still have like two slots open of Hot Chelle Rae isn't performing. And there's a few days to go. She could definitely be a last minute announcement.

Adele and Gaga will shut down the show. IDK why Lil Wayne is in there for Artist of the Year, to be honest. Britney seemed more deserving of that nod than him based on radio play and charting. Sales-wise, it's a different story, but overall, it seemed like she had a larger year than him. Oh, well. All the nods seem very-well selected. Can't complain at all. You can't be artist of the year when your album hasn't at least sold 1 million.

You can't be artist of the year when your album hasn't at least sold 1 million. You can be with the numerous Top 10 hits (including at #1 debut) and massive world tour that all happened in the same year as a #1 album debut. I didn't realize that selling 1 million was the bare minimum of getting a nod. I didn't say she was the Artist of the Year; I just said that she deserves a nod over Lil Wayne. But, whatever; that's just subjective. Anyways, performances to look forward to: Kelly Clarkson, The Band Perry, Daughtry... ...*blink* Yep, that's it. It's a strong lineup, but I personally won't be interested in it since all of the songs being performed will be the ones I've heard played on the same Pop radio station 2085349718926789 times a day for the past year.
