AMA's is always a strong lineup in terms of artists with hits. The part that sucks is most of those hits are overplayed &/or the performers themselves are underwhelming.

It's too bad the AMA's advertisements specifically mention Taylor in their TV ads. Maybe Country Weekly doesn't consider Taylor country?

You can't be artist of the year when your album hasn't at least sold 1 million. You can be with the numerous Top 10 hits (including at #1 debut) and massive world tour that all happened in the same year as a #1 album debut. I didn't realize that selling 1 million was the bare minimum of getting a nod. I didn't say she was the Artist of the Year; I just said that she deserves a nod over Lil Wayne. But, whatever; that's just subjective. Anyways, performances to look forward to: Kelly Clarkson, The Band Perry, Daughtry... ...*blink* Yep, that's it. It's a strong lineup, but I personally won't be interested in it since all of the songs being performed will be the ones I've heard played on the same Pop radio station 2085349718926789 times a day for the past year. I stand by what i said. Those other artist had #1 albums with big tours. There is no way in hell you can be artist of the year with an album that hasn't sold 1 million copies. Sorry.

You didn't make a prediction..You stated Britney was more deserving of an artist of the year nod than Lil Wayne.. that must be some good cool aid you're sipping.

You didn't make a prediction..You stated Britney was more deserving of an artist of the year nod than Lil Wayne.. that must be some good cool aid you're sipping. I predicted that Britney would get a nod over Lil Wayne. I didn't say it verbatim, but I predicted it. I thought she was more deserving. I don't care how your opinion differs. If you'd like to continue with this, take it up through a PM (I know you're new, so go to my profile and hit "Send Message") with me so you don't continue to hog this thread with arrogance. Thanks. Moving on, I wonder what's going on with Taylor. She's in the advertisements, but now Country Weekly reports that TBP is the only Country act performing. While that would be true in regards to Taylor, I'm hoping a press announcement or some sort of valid online confirmation comes across so we can know for sure. I think it's weird how they'd advertise her all over the commercials, but no big announcement has come out. ???

Maybe Taylor is not considered a "country act". Her music and the acts she has showing up at her concerts on stage definitely points to that.

Her music and the acts she has showing up at her concerts on stage definitely points to that. Yeah, that could be it, but I'm not entirely sure. She just won the CMA for Entertainer of the Year, so surely CW would have to acknowledge that in some form by including her in the list of Country performers for the AMAs. I'm not entirely sure.

The country industry regards her as a country act (her consistent nominations and wins at their awards shows prove that, not to mention her continued single success at radio). I highly doubt Country Weekly wouldn't mention her if she was performing.

Assuming I'm able to watch these live when it airs, I think I'm going to Liveblog these awards. I was going to wait until the Grammys to liveblog something but I've never done anything like it before so it might be fun to do.

No Michael Buble for this, eh? He better watch out, or Bieber will be comin' to Christmas town to knock him down (well, probably not). Plus, he's got his own holiday special coming up.
