Soul Train Awards IMO lost its relevancy in the 90's. The BET Awards are annoying. Seriously how is Countdown one of the best videos of the year? And all the winners are so predictable. I know Beyonce will win female artist and Chris Brown will win male artist.Drake or Lil Wayne will win Male Hip Hop, Nicki Female Hip Hop. Video of the year will be a tie between Love on Top and N***** in Paris. Usher doesn't have a chance. Countdown has a Flawless Video Check the Year End Lists for best videos of 2011, it appears on practically all.

Is there anywhere I could watch this online? I won't have access to a television when this airs.

I can't at Chris performing 'TUTM' Well, at least he sung "live". This show has lost its touch.

The Whitney Tribute was the best thing BET has ever put together.

I'm never going to learn when it comes to the BET Awards. There's always one or two good moments in a show full of ratchet behavior. And I am furious that Tamia wasn't apart of the Whitney tribute. Monica was the only good thing about it. Brandy was not good!

LOL Did you hear them yelling at Debra in the balcony while she was introducing Rev. Sharpton?

The show wasn't that bad. Loved the Whitney tribute, Monica ugh, girrrl. I love Brandy's confident. Melanie Fiona gave best vocal performance; she should've gotten a standing ovation. I got chills.
The mini tributes were great too. The Donna Summers one was so on point.
Now Chris Brown, I don't know who is his mentor or whatever but why would you sing your pop songs on a black show? I was so disappointed. I thought he would do "Strip" or "SweetLove". Horrible strategy on his part. You are marketing to a black audience and they don't want to hear your pop song. I mean I was actually expecting Nicki Minaj to do "Starship" before he did his pop songs. Just a mess. Even Usher knew the deal so how did Chris missed the memo.
The award winners were predictable but I loved that Miguel got a win.
Also how Beyonce win a Director award but not the Video award? So BET likes your directing but not the finish product to give it Video of the Year? That's backward.
All in all, I was entertained.

The awards are kind of meaningless to me. Like Rican said, their logic is kind of backwards. Trey Songz, Miguel or Usher should of won Best R&B. I feel like Chris has put out some weak music for the exception of "Strip".

I am glutton for punishment, every year I say that I will not watch the BET Awards, but every year like a dumb@#$ I waste 3+ hours of my life that could have been more productive. I am so sick and tired of the hip hop artists monopolizing the majority of performances; they have the BET Hip Hop Awards every October, right? The only time they will let "real" singers perform is during the tributes which is sad. It would have been nice to see Tamia, Jill Scott, Robin Thicke, Tyrese, Tank, Estelle and R. Kelly perform their own music since they all currently have hit songs out. Unfortunately, we get to see members of Maybach Music, Young Cash Money and G.O.O.D. Music and to top off everything else, was there anyone else in the audience besides Beyonce, Jay-Z, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian (ugh!). Also, please let this be the first and last time Samuel L. Jackson ever host any awards show.

The Whitney tribute was the best part of the show. I was let down this year.

D'angelo nailed it! Glad to have his crispy, sexy voice back. The Whitney tribute was great, i liked it.
Other than that, i don't have nothing else to say about the Carter Awards 2012!

I felt like Donna Summer deserved more of a tribute than that. Why does she always get shafted when it comes to these types of things?
