Just about every classic radio junkie knows about American Top 40 with Casey Kasem, Shadoe Stevens, and currently Ryan Seacreast (as well as Casey's own countdown show on Westwood One after leaving American Top 40 in 1988) as well as countdown shows hosted by the likes of Rick Dees, Joel Denver, Scott Shannon, etc. But what about those more niche, obscure music shows that existed at one point?
The Retro Show - This was a 1970s/early 1980s disco showcase program from 1993-1994 that was hosted by Gary Spears (who was an on-air personality at WBBM-FM "B96" in Chicago at the time). It aired primarily on rhythmic leaning top 40 stations of the period such as B96, KPWR "Power 106" in Los Angeles and WQHT "Hot 97" in New York.

American Dance Traxx - This was a dance-pop countdown show hosted by Jeff Wyatt and latter Downtown Julie Brown from 1987 to 1993. It aired primarily on rhythmic-leaning top 40 stations like Power 106 in Los Angeles and Hot 97 New York.

Sounds of the New York Underground - A dance music show from 1993-95 showcasing the best of the NYC house music DJs of the time such as Todd Terry, Junior Vasquez, Frankie Knuckles, etc and was hosted by Jeff Romanowski and Deborah Rath of WQHT "Hot 97" New York. Other stations that aired this program included Power 106 Los Angeles, B96 Chicago, and 106.1 KMEL in San Francisco.

Dance Connection - Really obscure dance music show that aired on B96 around 1997. The male host's name was Kim Farley (or Tim Farley). Sorry if the name is incorrect. It was syndicated by something called Radio Hits 1 and I can't find any more info about it.
