Released in 1978 from the album Living In The USA. Hit #7 on the Hot 100. Great cover of the Smokey Robinson & The Miracles classic.

It's all right, but I like a lot of other Ronstadt singles better than this. In my opinion, the Living in the USA material is completely outshined by the material on the followup album, Mad Love.
Shame she's turned her back on all her pop stuff.

It's a shame that HDIMY (a Top 10 single) didn't even make it onto the 2002 "The Very Best of Linda Ronstadt," even though it's a short song and they put something like "Adios" instead. I think that collection is out of print now, which was the only one to span Linda's output from GHs 1 & 2, put the Aaron Neville singles and the #2 hit Somewhere Out There.

Not nearly as strong as Smokey's version. There are few of her other singles that I much prefer over it, but it's decent.
This also peaked at #77 R&B.
