I listened to some of it on Spotify. That high note she hits on "Queen Of Swords" was impressive.

It sounded a lot like Lea Michele's album when I previewed it on iTunes. I want to like it but most of it sounded bland? Idk.
Broadway stars' pop crossovers so rarely work, which is wildly ironic given their raw vocal talent. But Idina seems to be no exception despite her many albums.

It's funny to me because I thought she worked with the pop-rock sound VERY well on 'Still I Can't Be Still', and even though it wasn't all pop-rock, I thought she did well with the varied sounds on that record. But the songs wouldn't work so well as pop singles (despite 'Minuet' cracking the top 50). I think that had she gone a more contemporary pop route, then maybe with the career breakthrough awarded her from the success of 'Frozen' she might be able to potentially break the age barrier on pop radio. I don't think she's interested in that, judging from the direction she's gone in. There's no obvious pop hits, it's more AC-friendly than anything.
I listened to this album once on Spotify, I should probably re-visit it.

Let's not forget her vocal talents. Lea slayed as well. Barbra would give this a standing ovation.
