This should be another #1 for Scotty! It's perfect for radio. It has that Kenny Chesney throwback feel to it too.

Yeah this is really good and should be another easy hit for him. I’m a sucker for these types of songs, reminiscing on youthful and memorable summers.

I actually really like this more than most of his recent radio singles- especially the melody, lyrics and chorus. Also really great timing for this and should be getting significant airplay by the fall of summer, so to speak.

Wow! Very impressive! This is such an ear worm for Summer radio! I am glad they seem to agree!

I think with his singles rising faster, we might be getting another 4 single album and this one will be another radio hit for him. Streaming might not be the strongest as usual but think it’ll stream a bit better than CIAS in the long run. I’ll bet though, he tours VERY well and has built up a solid amount of loyal fans at this point. He has enough hit singles where I bet even casual fans at his shows know a good amount of the songs.
His team and strategy feels very contained and efficient, if that makes sense. Doesn’t rely on heavy editorial playlisting, awards or heavy promotion, keeps relatively same producer and writers for albums, doesn’t stray too far from comfort zone or rely on features, tours with his family on his own tour bus (GREAT investment) with a label focusing heavily on radio.

Finally formed some thoughts regarding the album and I'll say the overcompressed drums and steel guitar hurt a lot of songs there, so it's kind of a frustrating listen when he has more variety of styles than average neo-trad country albums these days while not losing commercial viability. They just sound poorly mixed on earphones.
As for this song though, even though I feel like the wordplay is not as clever as it should be (fall meaning the season and fade of relationship isn't exactly original), it's the pause when he sang this phrase that sold me, similar to when Billie Eilish pauses before saying Claire in LUNCH, for example. It also feels like the best chance to get a hit in this album era.
