great pop song, went to #6. I wanted this to go to #1, even though there wasn't a chance it would.
anyone remember his LP? He followed this song up with We Are the Young (#25), then Second Nature (#39)
tell me someone remembers Second Nature? So cheesy, but so good at the time.

This was a great song... if I'd had a personal favs list when it was out it would have been #1... just a great song, with great lyrics and well sung...
I remember "We Are The Young" a little bit as it got some AC airplay here, but "Second Nature" is drawing me a blank... don't think it ever got played here in L.A. except for a time or two in the syndicated national countdowns...

I remember all those songs. Of course "I Can Dream About You" was somewhat notorious for being featured in the film "Streets Of Fire" - as lip-synched by black actors despite the fact that Hartman was a white man with a soulful voice (remember Edgar Winter's "Free Ride"? That was him on vocals too. Or "Instant Replay"?). This song sounded good in 1984 but has aged very well and sounds just fine to hear now and again today.

Good song. He originally wrote it for Hall & Oates, but they rejected it.

Fun tune and the video was as fun, if not more. Gone too soon, I thought he had a great voice.

I need to put this on my current Android phone. I have the song on my computer, my old computer and my old iPod Touch.
The song was on the soundtrack for the PSP game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories:

Often heard this song on AC stations Lite FM 93.9 and 100.3 when I was younger. I didn't like it too much when I was younger but it has grown to be a favorite of mine and I consider it to be his best song.
