Remember the 1994 rap song "Born to Roll" by Masta Ace Incorporated? It only made #40 for 1 week on the R&R CHR/Pop chart before the Points Per Week purge.

This was the last week Rick Dees used the "playlist reported' R&R chart before that whole monitor thing. AND, he skipped the darn song! I was sooooo pissed! I finally heard it a couple of years ago and I bought this at Itunes. I missed a good song. KDWB didn't even play this.

I like this, but 1995's "The I.N.C. Ride" is my fave by him.

This song got airplay mainly from rhythmic top 40 stations instead of mainstream ones. The top 40 station in my market (b96, which was rhythmic/dance back then) actually played this one. However, I first heard it on ones of those old school rap internet radio stations that I used to listen to back then. I did like this one.

One of my favorite rap discoveries this year so far.
I realized the "Knowledge Me" sample was later used in Ashanti's "Still On It".
