This song came out in the spring of 1994 and was their only hit. It was later featured in the film "Sugar & Spice" about the cheerleaders who robbed a bank.

AHHH OOOOH OOOH, AHHH OOOOH OOOH! I digged this one quite a bit, though it was somewhat annoying how the music drowned out Kim Deele's vocals. An even better song was their follow-up, "Divine Hammer".

I liked it. I think there were identical twin females in this group.

Yes, there were, but I can't think of the other singer's name.

The Breeder's kick ass! They came from my hometown of Dayton, Ohio. I used to see them live all the time before their big break.

LOL. Oh God, it's weird to see people here talk about the Breeders like they were a flavor of the week act & not an extension of one of the most influential bands of all time. It's like bizarro world. That being said, I sometimes prefer the Breeders to the Pixies. And yes, this song was a moment of left-field pop genius. Spun sugar melodies.

Well, it kind of became Kim's full-time band for awhile, after the Pixies split.
And yes, this song is a classic. It's got a feel-good vibe, with the coolest intro. From the distorted, "check"'s to the opening bass. As for drowning out the vocals, I didn't mind because it wasn't at too big of an extent. In most "indie" music, the music usually muffles out the vocals by comparison, anyway.
