^If it doesn't do better than top 20 then basically that's not much better than the lead single. I think they are waiting for a top 5 before they release an album. I initially thought Wagon Wheel would be a #1 but I guess we'll see.

I initially thought Wagon Wheel would be a #1 but I guess we'll see. Ideally they'd like a top 10 for sure but this is Darius Rucker we're talking about--if it underperforms and stalls out a bit lower a la "True Believers", I still think they'll put out the album...there's really no doubt in my mind. If artists like Jerrod Niemann, Kix Brooks, Big & Rich, The Farm, Chris Cagle, and Craig Morgan can get albums out without top 10 hits then I don't see why Darius can't. And actually, Darius' name recognition is probably bigger than any of those other artists'. I'm really not worried here. I think Capitol is going to really be behind "Wagon Wheel" but if it does come up against a stiff chart and slows/stalls out in the teens, I still fully expect the album to come out this summer.

Very nice on Ashley. For a Pistol Annie's sophomore album, the timing is just right 615 Spotlight: Ashley Monroe's 'Like a Rose' - The 615 | Billboard po.st/ZhGX3N

There's no doubt in my mind that Wagon Wheel will return Darius to the upper echelons of the country charts and that his album will see the light of day. The main reason I think they pushed back his album was centered around the general lack of strong sales in January coupled with the fact that the lead single did underperform to a degree, but I attribute that in part to the CC deal which definitely seems to have negatively affected that single imo.

Jo Dee Messina: "I've already recorded four songs for an all-new album. So it's been a lot of writing and recording, in the middle of touring and getting new music out to people," she said. "It's kind of like graduating from high school and having a world of opportunity in front of you, but with more wisdom. People are like, 'Are you scared?' I'm like, 'Absolutely not. I can do whatever I want, wherever I want, write whatever I want, sing whatever I want — any type of music without someone saying, 'Oh, that’s not you. You can’t do that.' It’s a wonderful spot to be in."
Don't expect to her to write death metal just yet, but she does admit to writing all kinds of music, other than just country. Being off her old label gives her the freedom to do that, she said. She does plan on releasing a new album this year, but plans on putting new music out on iTunes within the next month or so.

Randy TravisRandy Travis Receiving Treatment for Alcohol ProblemsRandy Travis has pledged sobriety, and his lawyer says the singer is staying true to his word — with a little help. Larry Friedman tells TMZ that Travis is now recording new music and going through treatment for his alcohol addiction. In fact, 2013 is going to be a big year for the hitmaker. Friedman shares that Travis plans on releasing two new albums before the year finishes. He’s healthy and taking control of his life with the assistance of professionals. It’s not clear what treatment program the singer is working through, but the TMZ article says nothing about rehab. The revitalized ‘Three Wooden Crosses’ hitmake is approaching the anniversary of the day fans first learned he’d taken picked up the bottle once again. It was after Super Bowl Sunday in 2012 that police found Travis drinking in his car outside a church in Texas. Later that year he’d be arrested for DWI and get into a dust-up with a man in a different church parking lot. Professionally, Travis has continued to tour throughout his struggles. A new studio album would be his first since the ‘Anniversary Celebration (2011)’ album that paired him with other famous country singers to sing his 25 years worth of hits. Take My Drunk A** Home This really isn't his next studio album. It's another Spring Break project...normally he just releases an EP with about 6 new songs but this release is basically a re-packaged re-release of many of his past spring break songs. Only 2 songs on this 'new album' are actually new: "Just A Sip" and "Buzzkill".

>>Sara Evans: Working on my new album! I wrote an awesome song today with David Hodges and Chris DeStefano. Yesssss. I hope that she gets this new album out by the end of the year. I am starving for new Sara Evans music. I've got my fingers crossed she has another "wow factor" hit on her hands that can restore her momentum with radio (which I'm sure will be fine once she starts fresh w/ a new record and doesn't release anything like MHCTYN).

I just know how sometimes if you mention you want to hear a version of the song people will link live ones. While live is nice, a studio one is what I tend to go for a lot of times first before going for a live one. So thank you!

Heard Kacey sing Mama's Broken Heart live and it is better than Miranda's imo. She sings it toned down/slower than Miranda.

^ I'm skeptical that's the final track listing for Kacey's Album. I'm basing this on what we've received at ASCAP.

She also mentioned that "Silver Lining" was going to be on the album, so it probably isn't official Hopefully we still get a lot of songs on the album though.

I am also skeptical of Kacey's tracklisting. I have seen people with advanced copies say that theirs are different than this. And I also can't believe that she wouldn't include "Trailer Song," because it's a fan favorite and a staple in all her live shows. I'd wait for an official tracklisting before getting too excited about everything on there.
