This had a pretty big add week on Hot AC this week (14 adds) so I'm hoping that carries over to top 40 also! :)

It's a shame. As high as this song gets on the iTunes chart (and it could be #3 fairly soon) it will never reach its full potential because of its relatively low CHR airplay. Sure a few more stations sign on to it every Tuesday, but it will never get the airplay boost it could and should be getting because it never got an official adds date.
What a waste. This could have been another #1 for them.
I blame the record label.

^ Well, it still could get to #1 on Alternative granted Alex Clare doesn't overcome it. #1 on AAA is also quite possible.

I can't see this missing the Top 10 on the Hot 100 at this point. How far it will go from there will depend on how CHR/Pop & Hot AC handle the lack of promotion from the label (or if the label magically/randomly actually sends this song out).

It took CHR forever to really play "We Are Young," also; I'm sure they will with this soon enough. I still don't like the song at all, but I appear to be the only one.

It took CHR forever to really play "We Are Young," also; I'm sure they will with this soon enough. I actually decided to do some research and "We Are Young" actually was only given its Adds Date a week prior. Once that was made official is started getting some solid updates, and once the Adds Date actually hit, it started exploding with +200 & such updates. So I guess I won't fault radio for that song either. It also gives me some reassurance that Fueled By Ramen is just really damn slow and will probably randomly throw out the Adds Date a single week prior again. And then radio will do its job hopefully. I am also glad that this could be realistically #2 on iTunes by the end of the week. It's been consistently closing the gap between itself and Call Me Maybe/Wide Awake.

TBH, I see this being the massive hit we've been missing for the past few weeks. This will go #1 on the Hot 100. Huge sales, huge airplay, and huge streaming. It's all gonna happen. I can just feel it. Quote me now.

I listened to this first about 15 minutes ago and literally fell asleep in the middle of it. It's not that bad, but I'm so disappointed after "We Are Young". :(

This song is just starting to gain traction at raido and it's sales are amazing so far. Why are some here saying this might not reach num.1???

If you accept that (major corporate) radio is nothing but an advertising channel for labels and let go of the make-believe idea that they're based on people's tastes, then, yes, you cannot fault radio for not playing WAY until it was told so by its label. It's really sad Billboard gave radio more power on the Hot 100 with the latest formula, but I guess it's simply a matter of business.

"Some Nights" finally overtakes Katy's "Wide Awake" and moves up to #3 on the iTunes chart. :)

I hope it's also getting streaming increases as well, we'll find out when billboard refreshes the charts this week.

I hope it's also getting streaming increases as well, we'll find out when billboard refreshes the charts this week. It is! Moves up to #9 on streaming this week! This is going to be monstrous. #1 on the Hot 100. "Whistle" will take "Call Me Maybe"'s spot, and this will kick of "Whistle."

^It was #9 last week; so it holds its position (although it is bulleted on the on-demand chart).

I heard some song by fun. in a preview for a new show, I believe it was. No clue what song, but I could distinctly hear (Nate?)'s voice.
