I'm disappointed "Madness" is still not charting this week! Presumably On The Verge for the second week in a row.

Otherwise not much movement this week apart from Krewella (and even so, +6 for the biggest jump is rather low)

Pretty lackluster week. Then again, so was the nearest, equivalent, Mediabase chart (Sunday 3/3 -- pulsemusic.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=pop&action=display&thread=129956). Krewella had the biggest top 40 move there, too, moving up 7.

"Madness" is "On The Verge" again. And whether you like it or not, "Harlem Shake" is a "Breakout".

Loving "Numb" as an Extra!

However, from the list you provided, the placement is odd, especially the clusters of extras after the first and third hours. And I always hate those anti-climatic extras placed before the top 2.

I actually thought the extras weren't badly placed. There weren't two in a row, for instance, and we got some in each hour.

at number one at the end of '81 and beginning of '82 on the Billboard Hot 100, really have the claim for the most weeks on top for a country artist on the pop chart?

I guess Olivia Newton-John has never been classified as a Country artist (i.e. she was a Pop artist who made some appearances on the Country chart, not the other way around). Rogers and Swift would, certainly, be classified as Country artists who have had Pop hits.

I'll say "Heart Attack" debuts next week at #25 due to massive airplay...But it DID chart on the rivals Cannon's Countdown, MTV Weekend Countdown & the Weekend Top 30 this week...How that happen, i'll never know

You can add Sirius Hits 1 Weekend Countdown with Spyder Harrsion to that list. You can also add Rick Dees Weekly Top 40. Heart Attack is charted on 5 of 6 CHR radio countdown shows with lone exception AT40.

Actually, "Physical" was #1 for 10 weeks on the Hot 100 (and thus on AT40 as heard in the 1980s), but never topped the Radio & Records chart. For several weeks in R&R it trailed Foreigner's "Waiting For a Girl Like You", which got stuck at #2 for 10 weeks in Billboard. (Interestingly, Olivia's followup, "Make a Move on Me" hit #1 in R&R but only #5 in Billboard.) And while we're talking about Olivia Newton-John, later in 1982 she hit #3 with a song that shared the title of Demi Lovato's soon-to-hit "Heart Attack".

Also: The Two For One I was expecting a Justin Bieber track, then I hear Nicki Minaj. Oh, well, overall good week.

That was actually an interesting choice; not only highlighting the "featured" rather than lead half of a double-act, but going with a moderate hit that made it only about halfway up AT40 two years ago instead of a bigger and more (over?)replayed Nicki Minaj hit like "Starships" or "Super Bass".

And calling "Harlem Shake" a breakout hit now sounds about two months too late. At least it should now chart, but probably not all that high as its momentary infiltration of YouTube and pop culture hasn't really crossed over to CHR radio in a major way.
