Quick correction... #37 "Some Girls" was also a re-entry (it was at #40 two weeks ago).

I knew it was only a matter of time before Kiss 108's Ed McMann was an AT40 Correspondant. Maybe you long-time AT40 listeners have heard of him. ;)

guess they've finally realized playing the same song twice is just plain dumb If that's true, maybe they'll eventually realize and eliminate all the other things that are dumb about this new AT40 too.

I like the use of a couple recurrents/golds as extras. Though I don't like them in the Top 40

It should be #37 but the EIGHT recurrents are keeping it as well as Mya, Alicia Keys, Nick Cannon(okay, so maybe that's not a bad thing) and Mary J. Blige out. Speaking of the recurrents, this extra airplay they're getting from AT40 each week is only going to keep them around for longer. And what the hell is up with Fabolous going 28-off-36?

I only caught the end of the show, but I heard Ryan Seacrest mention that the countdown was based on Mediabase 24/7 ?? Is he actually using some sort of Mediabase chart at all? This countdown bothers me.

Is he actually using some sort of Mediabase chart at all? Yes. Evidently, the reporting panel consists of only the stations that subscribe to the show (rather than the Mediabase chart we're most familiar with, tabulated from the stations that report to R&R).

Why are these charts always so late. . . Ev is at #31 on this chart, while its actually #13 on mediabase.

Fortunately for you the song gets the same amount of spins from this countdown whether it's 13 or 31. With that big a difference though it may have a chance of being Number 1 on R&R but not American Top 40.

Then you'd have four hours of dead air. (I know, I'm being too harsh.) Yeah, it would only be 3.5 hours.

I predict at least top 10. But then again, I predict the song will hit top 10 in every notable pop chart. :)

This chart is kinda hard to predict for. It would take me months to get the feel of this chart and then be able to predict where songs go. How similar is this Top 10 to its R&R counterpart?

What chart was this information supposed to be taken from? Monitored (Mediabase) airplay for only the stations that carry AT40 (not sure what timeframe they use, though... probably the same as before).

I like the use of a couple recurrents/golds as extras. Though I don't like them in the Top 40 They played Shakira's "Whenever, Wherever" and one other recurrent as an extra I can't remember right now before finishing up the countdown: #6: Ludacris/Shawna: Stand Up #5: Nickelback: Someday #4: 3 Doors Down: Here Without You #3: Baby Bash: Suga Suga #2: Outkast: The Way You Move #1: Hey Ya Sincerely, Noah Eaton

This countdown bothers me. The countdown is nothing like MediaBase. Ludacris all the way up at #6 stiil? Nickelback at #5? "Toxic" not even on the chart yet. "My Immortal" at #31"? This is certainly not correlative to the CHR/Pop chart. Sincerely, Noah Eaton
