I'm going to keep my chart in one topic because it's easier for me and it'll make me more likely to post it rather than forgetting to post it in the weekly topics. I hope it gets counted toward the Pulse chart whenever it reaches these dates.

β’ High School extends Nicki Minaj's lead as the artist with the most Top 100 appearances at 49. It also gives Lil'Wayne his 34th chart appearance.
β’ Eminem breaks the record as the artist with the most Top 10 appearances as C'mon Let Me Ride marks his 20th, passing Chantal Kreviazuk who has had 19. Her most recent Top 10 hit was I'm Here (#9 - 2011).
β’ Fun spends a 5th week at #1, marking their 4th #1 in a row to last that long there. This week marks their 24th cumulative week at #1, passing Serena Ryder and moving into 6th place as the artist to spend the most time at #1 in The Max 100 history. They are, however, the band with the most weeks in total and the act with male lead vocalist as the artists ahead of them are all solo women: Chantal Kreviazuk (63 weeks), Lady GaGa (61), Avril Lavigne (38), Alanis Morissette (35) and KT Tunstall (30). The second place band and male vocalist have both spent 16 weeks total at #1, Matchbox Twenty and Eminem.
β’ With all of fun's #1s spending at least 5 weeks at #1, their album Some Nights becomes only the second album to have 4 #1s last 5 or more weeks there. The other to do is was Avril Lavigne's Under My Skin.

I'm not putting it into table format. It looks better when it's an equal-spaced typeface like Courier.

I'm not putting it into table format. It looks better when it's an equal-spaced typeface like Courier. The whole biggest jumper, top debut, etc. aren't even on the same line as the song and it's confusing haha. Other than that I can deal, but that's confusing, gotta think about which song it should go to.

Oh. They're meant to act as headings so above the song it's for.

Canada has had a huge representation on my chart up until recently. Now there are the staples but the CanCon % is much less than it used to be.
And don't fret, Ellie fans, Explosions may or may not keep going up. It's not my favourite from the album though and Figure 8 *IS* #2!

Commentary -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
β’ Rihanna becomes the fifth artist to reach 40 chart appearances on The Max 100. She follows Eminem and Lady GaGa, who each have 40; Jay-Z, who just earned her 41st and Nicki Minaj, who is up to 49. In each case, the artists racked up most of their hits at about the halfway mark of The Max 100's existence in 2005 (the chart began in 1998). Eminem is the only artist to have reached 40 hits to have had a significant number of hits in the chart's first half.
β’ fun's latest #1 places in a list for longevity. Why Am I The One is now tied for 4th place as the longest running #1 song by a group at 6 weeks. It ties their #1 from last year We Are Young but is still two weeks shy of their longest running #1 Carry On (8 weeks). The record holder is Bright Lights by Matchbox Twenty (13 weeks at #1) with The Con by Tegan and Sara (11 weeks) in second.
β’ This week, Dido earns her fourth Top 10 with Let Us Move On. It's her first song to reach the Top 10 since Thankyou's last appearance in February 2001. Between 2000-01, Dido had three Top 10 hits that include her appearance on Eminem's Stan (#4), plus her own hits Here With Me (#7) and Thankyou (#2). She charted six other songs between them, the biggest being White Flag (#12). The gap between Top 10 hits is a new entry in the record books as the largest in The Max history (unless something else is discovered).

- Good chart, Max. - Nice Top 2. Hope "Figure 8" could climb atop. - Great climbs of "I Need Your Love", "C'mon", "Mirrors", "I Love It", "Clarity" and "Popular". - I guess "Waiting for the Night", "22" and "Drinking From the Bottle" gain more points from last week, but they fall. - Good debuts of "Madness" and "Back to Life".

β’ In its first week on the chart, Here's To Never Growing Up becomes Avril Lavigne's 16th Top 10 hit, putting her in a tie for second for most Top 10 hits among solo woman with Alanis Morissette. Only Chantal Kreviazuk has more with 19. With the debut at #6, the song also becomes Avril's second highest entry on the chart behind the #4 entry for Nobody's Home back in 2004. That song would go on to break the record for longest run at #1 where it spent 17 weeks, a record that still stands today.
β’ Figure 8 reaches #1 for the first time to become Ellie's second chart topper after Anything Can Happen. This song does it in its 22nd week on the chart which MAY be a record for the longest climb to #1.

Figure 8 reaches #1 for the first time to become Ellie's second chart topper after Anything Can COULD Happen. a new #1: "Figure 8" from Ellie Goulding. It's her second song to top the chart, following her previous single "Anything Could Happen" which spent three weeks at #1 in November and December of 2012. Yay, go us!

Nu chart!
My chart was tough to make because, while I don't think the top is particularly strong at the moment, if I applied points to each of the singles, the entire Top 30 or Top 40 would be pretty close. Anything could happen in the next few weeks!

β’ Rihanna's Stay rises to #3, matching the peak of her highest charting leading single Umbrella, which hit #3 back in 2007. That song spent a single week at #3 but lasted 30 weeks in the Top 100. Stay is nearly halfway there this week with 14 weeks on. Other than Umbrella and Stay, Rihanna has charted higher as featured on Love The Way You Lie by Eminem, which did go to #1.
β’ In the first week on the chart, Get Lucky by Daft Punk becomes its highest charting single on The Max 100, besting their only other single One More Time by one position. Daft Punk were featured predominately on Kanye West's #14 hit Stronger.
β’ Beth Hart makes her 8th appearance on The Max 100 this week at #100 with The Ugliest House On The Block. The album track comes from her record Bang Bang Boom Boom and is only the second of her albums to offer more than one charting song on The Max 100. Her 2003 record Leave The Light On gave two hits with its #1 title track and World Without You. Other than that, every other song she's charted has been from a different album, five of which have charted within the last two years.

Stompa didn't really have a great start. Here's its chart run:
22-23-19-19-19-31-41-36-28-31-31-31-25-20-14-20-20-16-16-17-7-7-10-11-26-33-69-98
Peak: #7 Weeks On: 28 Weeks in Top 40: 25 Weeks in Top 10: 3 Weeks at peak: 2
It was her 4th highest chart entry (Weak In The Knees debuted at #1, Little Bit Of Red at #8 and Just Another Day at #16). It fell in its second week, which is pretty rare for such a high entry and then went to #19 for three weeks before dropping from there. I didn't realize the song was doing as well as it was in Canada until Censor pointed it out to me one week so I gave the song another chance where it struggled to rise past its original peak before finally going Top 10 the week I saw her in concert. Admittedly, Stompa isn't among my favourite Serena songs. The song What I Wouldn't Do, which was released to iTunes before the album, did spend 4 weeks at #1 though (it has already fallen off) but it's the next single in Canada.

I also started listening to her older songs and they're great! The one's that you mentioned, "Weak In The Knees" and "A Little Bit Of Red'" are cute. Heard "What I Wouldn't Do" and love it. Not as much as "Stompa", but it's a good song.

Previous week:
- "Figure 8" climbs atop! Nice. - Good debut of "Here's to Never Growing Up". - "Popular Song", "Drinking From the Bottle", "My Songs Know What You Did In the Dark (Light Em Up)", "No Freedom" and "Madness" climb. - Sad all the Nelly Furtado's songs are gone. - Great to see the re-enter of "Carried Away".
This week:
- "Figure 8" is still atop. Good. - "Here's to Never Growing Up" continues to climb. - "Just Give Me a Reason" re-enters! - "Popular Song" is a Top 20 hit. Great to see it. - "I Love It", "Clarity", "No Freedom", "My Songs Know What You Did In the Dark (Light Em Up)", "Madness" and "Carried Away" jump. - Good to see the debut of "Get Lucky".
