Yes! Who knew she'd have 3 more #1s after BOMT Well Britney is mostly just playing catch up now. Wmz, 3, and HIAM are basically fill in's because she missed out with worthy Hot 100 contenders such as Toxic, You Drive Me Crazy, and Oops!...I Did It Again. All of which would have been no.1 had they been aided by proper single releases.

Toxic had a proper single release, it was just that it was released when downloads weren't accounted for the Hot 100.
Crazy and Oops were missed #1s... but they helped both albums reach their current sales.

Lol, I predicted #12 for Avril but #13 is still a good start for her. Espicially, it's so close to the Top 10. Only 10 points behind Just The Way You Are

I maybe wrong but I have a strong hunch that WTH will not be a NMT.... and actually be a grower hit like RYG.
Honestly it's a pretty good Pop song (better than Girlfriend IMO) and one of my most liked Avril's singles in quite some time (since the flawless singles of her second era).
Britney's HIAM will probably stall at around 80-90 AI and be a sizeable hit (I'm not taking away any of her acheivements here) like 3..... but's thats about it.
And I have a question for the Britney fans (or music savy people): does she has lined a tour to promote her new album??? Cuz if she doesn't then I see this era of her (with the actual USA publicity that NOT having a tour will allow her) giving her at least 3 top ten singles.
Anyways, Britney is without a doubt (more than 10 years after her initial shoot to stardom and pushing close to 30 years old) THE POP PRINCESS..... it's quite rare to have such a connection (and thus loyal) with her fans after so many years.
Congratulations!!!!!

IT'S OFFICIAL
Britney Spears becomes just the second artist in the Billboard Hot 100's 52-year history to debut multiple songs at No. 1, as "Hold It Against Me" blasts in at the summit.
Spears previously launched at the apex with "3" the week of Oct. 24, 2009. She joins Mariah Carey as the only acts to arrive at No. 1 more than once. Carey made such grand entrances with "Fantasy" and "One Sweet Day" in 1995 and "Honey" in 1997.
On Radio Songs, "Hold It Against Me" begins at No. 23 with 45 million first-week audience impressions, according to Nielsen BDS. The song's No. 23 entrance is the chart's best since Mariah Carey's "Touch My Body" began at the same rank the week of March 1, 2008.
"Hold It Against Me" also ties Madonna's "Frozen" (No. 16, March 7, 1998) for second-highest launch on the Pop Songs chart. Only Mariah Carey's "Dreamlover" began at a higher rank, having rocketed in at No. 12 the week of August 14, 1993. Source: Billboard

Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" re-enters at #97.
"I Like It" falls 34-45 in its 36th week on the chart. Another longevity hit, "Dynamite" falls 11-18 in its 33rd week. Meanwhile, the next Taio Cruz hit, "Higher" falls from its peak of 36 to 37 despite a points increase.
Similarly, Taylor Swift's "Back to December" falls 25-26 despite a points increase. If not for the three high debuts this week, it would have reached a new "official radio single peak." (Not to be confused with its actual peak of #6, achieved only with Digital Countdown Week sales.)
Non-debuts achieving new peaks in the top 40 this week include "Black and Yellow" (7-5), "Yeah 3x" (16-15), "Stereo Love" (17-16), "Rocketeer" (23-17), "Hey Baby (Drop it to the Floor)" (22-20), "Jar of Hearts" (30-28), "Who Dat Girl," (39-29), "F**kin' Perfect" (57-30), "More" (47-33), and "Down on Me"(45-38).

Lots of tracks- besides Britney Spears'- could have been No. 1 Hot 100 contenders circa 1999-2001 had they had CD singles. The labels that did not issue CD singles opted not to play the charts game for certain tracks.
Nice move for Pink's second single.

Billboard.biz:
The Billboard Hot 100:
-- Britney Spears: With "Hold It Against Me" notching the highest debut sales week for a download by a lead female artist (411,000, per SoundScan), and a 45-million start in radio audience (per Nielsen BDS), the single becomes only the 18th No. 1 debut in the Billboard Hot 100's history.
The first release from Spears' forthcoming seventh studio album blasts in at No. 16 on Mainstream Top 40, tying Madonna's "Frozen" in 1998 for the chart's second-best bow -- Mariah Carey's "Dreamlover" entered at No. 12 in1993. "Hold It Against Me" concurrently enters on Dance Airplay (No. 24), Rhythmic (No. 37) and Adult Top 40 (No. 40). Spears has now barged onto Hot Digital Songs at No. 1 with the first single from each of her last four albums, following "Gimme More" (2007), "Womanizer," (2008) and "3" (2009). (After "Womanizer," the second single/title cut from "Circus" also commenced at the Hot Digital Songs summit).
-- Avril Lavigne: "What the Hell," the first single from the 26-year-old's fourth album, "Goodbye Lullaby," due March 8, opens at No. 13, fueled by a No. 6 launch on Hot Digital Songs (163,000 downloads sold). Early signs also point to a welcome return at radio for the singer, as the track begins on Adult Top 40 at No. 32 and Mainstream Top 40 at No. 38. Lavigne had last peaked on those respective airplay charts with ³Hot² (No. 40) in 2008 and "When You're Gone" (No. 10) in 2007.
-- Kanye West & Jay-Z: "H*A*M," the first taste of the pair's forthcoming album "Watch the Throne" bows on the Hot 100 at No. 23 and Hot Digital Songs at No. 10 with 125,000 downloads. Like Lavigne's single, encouraging early radio airplay complements the collaboration's strong opening sales, as the track debuts on Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop at No. 38. The song makes the greatest positional vault (94-48) on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs (5.1 million audience impressions, up 403%).
-- P!nk: As if Max Martin doesn¹t dominate enough with the debuts of Spears' and Lavigne's songs, he also boasts writing and producing credit on "F**kin' Perfect," which claims dual Greatest Gainer/Digital and Airplay honors as it rockets 57-30 on the Hot 100. The second new track from "Greatest Hits... So Far!!!" following former No. 1 "Raise Your Glass" (5-8) bounds 66-25 on Hot Digital Songs (70,000, up 95%) and 68-44 (27.5 million, up 54%) on Hot 100 Airplay.
-- David Guetta featuring Rihanna: The pair's "Who's That Chick" registers the Hot 100's loftiest positional vault (85-51) courtesy of a 102% spike in downloads to 45,000. The song surges following the release of an EP sporting three mixes, all longer than the original two-minute, 47-second version available since November.
-- Coolio featuring L.V.: Here's another of the Green Hornet's powers: leaping Billboard charts in a single bound. "Gangsta's Paradise" debuts on Hot Digital Songs (47,000, up 58%) following its usage in the trailer to "Green Hornet," the Seth Rogen/Cameron Diaz film that opened in theaters Jan. 12. The song, which topped the Hot 100 for three weeks in 1995 (and is thus not eligible to return to the current-based survey), also soars 24-12 in its third week on Rap Digital Songs.

15,16,17 all have new peaks, and 28,29,30 all have new peaks. No. 16 isn't a new peak for "Stereo Love" though, it reached No. 16 for the first time back in December. still nice to see it reach its peak again, of course!

How many weeks did Glee's Teenage dream and forget you spend on the Hot 100? Three and four weeks respectively, if I'm not mistaken.

15,16,17 all have new peaks, and 28,29,30 all have new peaks. No. 16 isn't a new peak for "Stereo Love" though, it reached No. 16 for the first time back in December. still nice to see it reach its peak again, of course! my fault!~ someone earlier in the thread said it was a new peak so i just assumed they were right

Peacock still on Bubbling Under...maybe this should be the 4th single. last friday night wouldnt show up on the bubbling under chart though, since it already debuted. i have no idea if its selling enough to be worthy of being on that chart, but if it is, peacock isnt like outshining it, just b/c we cant see it. Lifehouse might debut next week! Fantasia peaked in airplay, she may get a couple more weeks on the bubbling under, but it doesnt seem she ll make the hot 100, its a shame i predicted shed peak around 91-93 on the hot 100. the only way it could prbly make it as this point is a grammy performance. I do hope they release a 3rd & final single from the project, the album is almost over the 400k mark, not a bad decline since her last sold 530k.

Train's on the cusp of their third consecutive Top 40 entry this album era. "Marry Me" will ultimately peak between the first two singles this era I'm predicting.
Pitbull looks poised to vault into the Top Ten next week with the sudden surge in digital sales.
Namaste, Lisping Hibiscus

"Peacock" was a club single- is it getting any kind of measurable airplay?

I was just being nit-picky since I love "Stereo Love" and have been following its chart run from the start. ;) chart run = 93 - 74 - 67 - 57 - 48 - 37 - 35 - 26 - 24 - 19 - *16* - 22 - 21 - 17 - *16*
