Yes, and obviously she's referencing Madonna because the chorus is straight up 'Who's That Girl'.

Goes for adds December 7th! I'm mostly thrilled about this, because it's an amazing song! I'm also a little disappointed though, as it will probably cut into Memories' run. I suppose that was like a year late in the U.S. anyway... This already picked 2 adds last week and 1 add this week.

I said that plenty times when it first leaked.. the chorus is pretty much a 'Who's That Girl' rip.

Well, I still haven't listened to this, and I'll probably love it, but I want Memories to be a top 10 hit, that song is amazing. Memories entered the Australian chart in mid-January. It peaked at #3 in early March. The U.S. basically got When Love Takes Over & Sexy Bitch at the same time as Australia (around May and August respectively), skipped One Love and Memories (we got them in around November and January), and we had Gettin' Over You at the same time (May). Strange era IMO.

Ok, not to drag this out but this is directed towards me so... Umm, that was the first time I EVER compared Rihanna to Madonna. Someone else mentioned Madonna so I added my opinion. I don't think AT ALL that Rihanna was trying to copy Madonna, there was just a Who's That Girl vibe- like a modernization. Why so serious?

Maybe this and 'Memories' could chart together. Guetta is nowhere to be heard on either track. Its the featured artists who run the show on both records.

Maybe this and 'Memories' could chart together. Guetta is nowhere to be heard on either track. Its the featured artists who run the show on both records. If the tracks were promoted and announced and credited as "Kid Cudi - Memories (Produced by David Guetta" and "Rihanna - Who's That Chick (Produced by David Guetta)" like they should be then all "his" singles so far could be charting at once. Unfortunately, they're promoted, announced and credited as "David Guetta featuring..." so they won't. :(

That's because "(produced by David Guetta)" doesn't get you chart credit, only the artists and featuring artists. And if he wants to keep the songs he produces, and get guest singers/rappers on his songs, then that's his decision. Otherwise electronic artists would never be credited since they don't sing on their songs...

Ok, not to drag this out but this is directed towards me so... not really, no. It was directed at Revolver. You're free to place your input on it, but the conversation is stale and to continue with it was moving further and further away from the topic.

Well producers don't typically sing on their tracks so I don't see the big problem if they're not credited. They still make money off of it, credit or not. What Guetta and other euro producers do is smart though since it helps with name recognition. It's just weird to see it in the "Western World", I guess. Oh and I don't really like the idea of this being a single since most people will hear the song and automatically assume it's just another Riri single. Maybe it'll work though since WMN and this are in 2 completey different genres and pop might be willing to play both. It'll be interesting to see how this works out.

I'm not sure if Madonna says the word "dita" in Who's That Girl, but in the early 90's, during the release of the Erotica CD and Sex book, Madonna adopted a Mistress Dita persona (very Sasha Fierce), who wore a gold tooth with an engraved "D" and represented Madonna's inner sex goddess/dominatrix. She was inspired by Dita Parlo, a 1930's German actress. The opening line of "Erotica" is "My name is Dita, I'll be your mistress tonight."
