Both of these songs are a bit of a change for each artist, at least in the public eye, and have a similar sound. Which is better?

Bad Ke$ha fan here, but it took multiple listens of both back-to-back for me to make my decision.

they are strikingly similar, but Teenage Dream is a more solid production. The Harold Song is not as shaky-groovy, but it is decent.

'Teenage Dream', but I think I actually prefer Ke$ha to Katy now.

I don't think they're too similar, but definitely Teenage Dream - so much better.

The Harold song. Katy's is a nice pop gem but Ke$ha's actually feels a little more raw, like she really knows who/what she's singing about. For me, with Harold, it's all there. Dream just wishes.

'Teenage Dream' is Katy's G.O.A.T whereas 'The Harold Song' is just a shitty retread of 'Blind'.

I'm all for "Teenage Dream". I think it's actually one of Katy's better vocals.
I do love "The Harold Song", though.

The Harold Song. K$ puts through crazy intense, beautiful emotion into her masterpiece. She makes the song real and relate-able while Katy's feels more like a fantasy.

Although I Teenage Dream very very very much, I was more than impressed by Ke$ha's Harold Song. I really didn't expect it from her and now I'm hooked. So for now, The Harold Song

Shockingly,I'm more impressed with Kesha's current songwriting than Katy's,case-in-point being The Harold Song.
The chorus :
They say that true love hurts Well this could almost kill me
is genius.
Take away the dance beats and the electronica and there's still a very solid piece of songwriting left.
I'd love an acoustic version of The Harold Song.
If I were asked to rate the lyrical depth of the three current pop queens :
Kesha>Katy=Gaga

The chorus : They say that true love hurts Well this could almost kill meis genius. I think that is by far the worst lyric on the entire EP. The line should just be love, wouldn't TRUE LOVE almost kill anyone??
