HOLY s**t. THIS ALBUM IS FLAWLESS.
I was laying in bed listening to this last night and I couldn't help to think that I was listening to something Loretta, Dolly, or Tammy would have recorded in the 60s and 70s. This brings things farther back than Miranda ever has and it really is so refreshing. People compare this to LeAnn Womack but I think it's better. Every song is a true Gem, Honest to God! "Long As I Never See You Again", "100 Proof", "Mother's Day", "The Letter (To Daddy)", are all AMAZING. Wow, all the songs are lyrically flawless, and her vocals are perfect for this type of album.
If this doesn't go on to win her tons of awards, and make her a superstar, I don't know what will. I personally think, with the right promotion and help of fans, "Mother's Day" could be a huge hit - especially knowing Kellie's story. Every one of the songs has potential to be at least a substantial hit. I really hope this album does well, Kellie really deserves it for putting out such and amazing piece of art. I cannot believe how impressed I am with this!
Way to go, Kellie!!!

I fear the only thing that will keep Kellie Pickler at BNA is if she gets huge sales from this CD. She had better get a top ten from this CD.

I got the physical copy, and love it! I'm dying to hear Arm Candy. The last track "The Letter" is beautiful. It caught me by surprise that it's so short, but none the less it's beautiful.

This album is flawless. I'm so in love with it, and every single song is simply perfect. It's not even a full month into 2012 and I think this will easily be the best album released this year, for me. My favorites, aside from my early favorite Tough, are 100 Proof, Rockaway, and Little House on the Highway. I really think 100 Proof sounds great in the car, so I think it will have the potential to blow up big at radio if they really play their cards right. And Little House is a smash hit waiting to happen, so please release that for single #3. Here's how I'd do it: 2. 100 Proof 3. Little House on the Highway 4. Rockaway Edit: Also, everyone check out this thread I made, where you can vote for your favorite songs on the record: pulsemusic.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=polling&action=display&thread=113373

Overall, I like the album! 100 Proof (the song) is hands down the best on the album, with the most potential. After that, it's really hard to tell. There's a little too much twang on the album for me. But I can still get past that though!

"Arm Candy" is like Katy Perry meets Dolly Parton! I wish it'd of made the hard copy so everyone could hear it!
The album is flawless as others have said! If radio has any sense at all they will make this era her "Miranda moment." If this album doesn't do it, nothing will. Country music radio needs songs like this! The entire album sounds like a greatest hits album with new songs, its just that good! Her first 2 albums were "just ok" with me, but this new album is one of the best albums I have bought in my entire life by any artist. I can play it on repeat 100 times in a row and never get tired of it.

Here is her GMA performance of Tough. She also sang Stop Cheating On Me, and Unlock That Honky Tonk and into and back from commercial breaks.

Wow I was thinkin a little more than 25k, but I guess thats still good seeing there has been no big radio hits yet from this album. I hope to God there will be tho! This album is too good not to be played! That doesn't make sense tho she didn't play the new single on GMA, I mean what a venue!

I'm wondering if they aren't thinking of going with "Mother's Day" instead. It would be climbing around May. Also the sticker on the album has it listed with "Tough". So I'm thinking that may be their plan.
I always judge an album by how many songs I skip and their are very few country albums in my 53 years that I can say I don't skip a song. Well I can add this one to that short list of Patty Loveless, Vince Gill, Randy Travis & Tracy Lawrence. The oldies are too many to count. This album will get nods for album of the year & has a good shot at winning just like Jamey Johnson did.
Hit potentials are "Mothers Day", Rockaway, "Where's Tammy Wynette" & "Stop Cheating on Me". I hope Radio gives this girl a chance, she finally found herself and it's that good. I would rather hear country music on my country radio than this bubble gum pop country that other females are putting out.

"Mother's Day" could be another "House that Built Me" I believe and could turn this new Kellie sound into a Miranda like surge the way she had. Ya know Miranda's first 2 albums weren't radio darlings and she found herself with radio on the 3rd one. Kellie has the best potential of anyone out there for this happening to her to. I'll say it now. If by CMA time, she isn't nominated for "Album" and "Female" then there is something wrong with the Industry! We need a new name on that Female Vocalist list that is the same every year and Kellie fits that bill perfect! This album is one of the best I've ever purchased and I own at least over 1000.

made up my mind last night after the listening party - no way am i a pickler fan, but i will buy this album. good music needs to be supported, and maybe if this sells decently enough, more great songs like the songs on this album will be recorded and included in mainstream releases.
damn you pickler for making me cry on mothers day! and i cant get off the line "stop cheatin on me" on my head this morning. there are no filler songs at all! ive enjoyed listening to every single one and replaying all of them again.
kudos to kellie for having the guts to record this album knowing fully well that this could be her last album with her current label. might as well go out with a bang. i do hope she gets enough recognition for this album because she really deserves it.
great things from an unexpected package indeed!

Caved in and purchased the album at Wal-Mart yesterday after listening to it about four times on Spotify this past week. Overall, this is a really good album and I hear at least a couple extra solid hits from this records.
- Although I'm not really familiar with Tammy, I'm really digging the opening track; it's pretty sassy and packs a hard punch, too. - "Unlock That Honky Tonk" seemed to be solid after hearing the acoustic performance of it before the album came out. It's pretty catchy, but listening to the studio version caught me off-guard a little. I'm honestly not a huge fan of the drums they used; it's OK, though. - "Stop Cheatin' On Me" is pretty solid, too. The lyrics are a little immature, though. - "Long As I Never See You Again" is really special to me after hearing the lyrics some more. - "Tough" is definitely a stand-out that should've gotten more attention on the radio. - "Turn On The Radio And Dance" is a pretty calm track as well and I really enjoy it. - "Mother's Day" was average on first listen, but it's beginning to grow on me. I understand how special it is to her now. :'( - "Rockaway (The Rockin' Chair Song)" is one of my absolute favorites form the album, and I would be ecstatic if this became a single. - "Little House on the Highway" is also a standout and I knew I'd like it once I first heard it from that live video. I wouldn't be surprised if this was green-lighted as a single, also. - "100 Proof" is another strong ballad on here that has potential to be another top 15 hit for her and maybe even higher if BNA allows it. - "The Letter (To Daddy)" is a pretty calm close to the record with pretty deep lyrics. I could almost cry if I was in the right mood.
Currently, I'm shaking my head at how they mishandled "Tough" and the beginning of the era and after reading about ctryfan1980's visit with Mrs. Pickler, I'm not sure if we're guaranteed to get a top 20, let alone another top 10. Don't get me wrong, I'd more than love for it to happen; she has the material to do it and possibly start a little streak of them if she wanted. On the bright side, though, the album has finally arrived. I'm gonna sit back and see if something actually gets done to bring her back to the radio waves and maybe become another star along the ranks of Carrie, Taylor, and Miranda.

She wasn't shy about admitting that either to me. I told her how much I loved this classic sound and like I said on the other thread, she told me that its her favorite kind of Country music too and she had to battle with BNA for 3 years to get it done her way. Before I walked away I told her I hope she gets some #1s cause she sure deserves it. She of course just humbly said "oh thank you." She sure is a special person with that rare country talent that should be noticed by the highest ranks of the industry.

I really don't think this album could get any better. Although I enjoyed her two previous albums, this one puts them to shame. She deserves an immense amount of recognition for the work she's done on this...
