Lead single from her covers album, Everlasting Love, being released February 1st. Originally a hit for The Stylistics in the '70s.

Enough covers god dammit! It's like people are purposesly confirming their place as has-beens.

I hope she does well with this. I saw part of "A Diva's Christmas Carol" on TV with Vanessa Williams as "Ebony", and it was horrible and embarrassing. I think it's time this "has-been" gets back up the chart.

I would also, but that's not going to happen unless she does a song with a young HIP HOP artist.
Hopefully this will do well on AC and HOT AC.

With that picture her album should sell tons, how old is she anyway? She has been around since the early 90s I think.

Vanessa Williams was born March 18, 1963 making her almost 42.
Her first hit, "The Right Stuff", charted in 1988.

I don't like the arrangement. I also think they could have worked this out better for AC.

Her album is being released Tuesday... but this song is being released on Feb. 1... is that normal on AC radio? Or just bad marketing?

Judging by most of the other songs on this tracklisting, I'm going to go for the latter. After listening to the clips FOUND ON THIS THREAD, I believe you are right! The clips sound nice and relaxing. I like "Midnight Blue" and "One Less Bell To Answer" the most so far. :)

As a die-hard Vanessa's fan, I love "You Are Everything". It's pleasant and charming song that Vanessa could do really good.
It's said that this song has been sent to the clubs, maybe so great mixes. And of courseI hope this song would do good on AC chart!

It's said that this song has been sent to the clubs, maybe so great mixes. And of courseI hope this song would do good on AC chart! Oh geez, I sure hope that doesn't mean that they've messed this song up like they did Barry Manilow's rendition of "I'd Really Love To See You Tonight" back in 1997. For the first few weeks, radio stations played the ballad version, as it was on the album. Then, they began playing this awful dance mix of the song! Of course, since upbeat songs by Barry Manilow are few and far between, I guess they decided to take advantage of it, but still, I prefer the slow version of the song. Or actually, what I prefer is the original version by England Dan & John Ford Coley. Oh yeah, Vanessa Williams' remake - haven't heard it yet and probably never will unless it hits the Top Five, since that's the only kind of current music that AC stations will play
