Ray J be looking like he's up to something. Whenever he has something out he's conveniently around Whitney.

I just pray Ray J isn't shady and talks about him and Whitney's personal time together, or somehow some personal videos between them somehow magically "leak" to the press. Please God don't ever let something like that happen!

The covers of the new issues of all the tabloids carry at least 2 sketchy, scandalous stories about Whitney's passing. Each one is more disgusting than the last.

I don't even want to hear what they have to say, they're tabloids. They're vile, blood suckers. They won't even wait for the official autopsy result before running their 20 page stories on Whitney. They have been waiting for this awful day for years and I fucking HAAAAATE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reading all that she was looking forward to is so beyond heartbreaking. Worried about us fans, a new solo album, the sequel to Waiting To Exhale.... :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
People.com: Whitney Houston's Last Recording Session

Arriving at Mason Sound recording studio in North Hollywood on the evening of Feb. 7, Whitney Houston was all smiles and feeling "really positive," producer Harvey Mason Jr. tells PEOPLE.
"We stood around and joked, listened to music, and we got her this throat coat tea she likes," says Mason, who worked with the singer on her last recording of the up-tempo record "Celebrate," a duet with Jordin Sparks for the soundtrack of the upcoming film Sparkle.
"Then she got in the booth, started her vocal session with a prayer as she always did, and worked for about three to four hours. We ended the session dancing around the control room while she said 'Turn it up! Turn it up!' She was so fun-loving."
Houston, who died on Feb. 11 at age 48, and Sparks, 22, didn't record the duet together. But Houston – who'd recorded the song over a few sessions in the past couple of weeks – "wanted to make sure Jordin had enough time to shine on the song," says Mason. "She loved all of the female singers coming up."
Mason adds that in the studio Houston gave a great performance. "She said 'Don't make anything less than perfect.'"
Asked if Houston could have been putting too much pressure on herself during her final days, Mason says, "She was excited, not overworked. I've been around her when she is overworked. She comes into the studio and is kind of down and quiet and just wants to get in and out. This was not like that. Whitney was worried about her fans, but there was no undue pressure."
In fact Houston was bursting with optimism. "She talked about Sparkle, Waiting to Exhale and working on her new solo record," says Mason. "And she was excited for Clive [Davis's] party."
It is yet to be determined if Mason will release "Celebrate" because Houston had another session before the song would be finalized. But he assures, "she sounded really good."

:o OMG. PLEASE tell me you're joking. . When I posted this, I was reading online that he found her dead, that's why I said that. But when they confirmed who did find her dead, I retracted my statement. I think hes a coke sniffer.

I recorded "I Look To You" and made this you tribute video.
I had a hard time recording not only because it's a difficult song to sing, but I kept bursting into tears.... :'(

^ I dunno, I just find covers like this kind of opportunistic. I figured I'd get that response... Truth be told, I've always loved the song and always wanted to record it. Just never did... As time went on from its release I sort of forgot about it, but now I can't stop listening. I wanted to record it in memory of Whitney, it's my first Whitney song and probably only because I simply can't sing most of her songs. Honestly though, yes, I can't say I'm not looking for views, but the tribute is definitely genuine.

That's nice that you did that, carrieidol. You have a nice voice and I see how much you love Whitney. I can't listen to that song right now, though. It just makes everything more painful.

This is still so incredibly sad. It's hard to stop thinking about her too. She was just so amazingly talented. I find it comforting to know that her voice will live on forever through her music.

Whitney was a grown woman who was old enough to make her own decisions. Let's not sit here and place blame. No one knows anything about Whitney and Ray-J's relationship, so stop trying to make him a villain. Good God, did I just defend Ray-J? WTF is going on. Seriously though. People act like Whitney was always mindless and was always under the control of some man who always gives her all these problems. Bobby was an abusive a$$ so that's different, but as annoying as Ray J is, I didn't see anything wrong with him hanging with Whitney. I don't think he was using her or anything, because he has always been tight-lipped about her and never led people on to believe anything about her. I think he feels extremely guilty though. I read something about her calling him last week and him not returning her calls and then when he found out, he was inconsolable.

Whitney cut $2 Million check to keep “Sparkle” alive
DETROIT - Whitney Houston was not only the star of the movie Sparkle, but also its fairy godmother, according to cast members who spoke only to Local 4 Monday morning.
Apparently as the last scenes of the movie were being shot, the production ran out of cash. The few cast members who were privy to the news were shocked and saddened. This was a big break for them. They would be able to stand in the surrounding light of her spotlight. Hundreds of people had been working tirelessly for two month at the historic Iroquois Lutheran Church in Detroit to get the movie to completion.
Before the production folded, Elijah Conner, one of the extras who played a member of Houston’s inner entourage, revealed that Houston pulled out her own checkbook to cover the costs of completing the film to the tune of two million dollars. He explains she wore several hats during the filming; Actress, Singer, Executive Producer and in the end, Guardian Angel and Fairy Godmother all rolled into one.

I feel like they should re-release her Greatest Hits album from 2000, and include some more tracks, and the original (but remastered) versions of most of the songs, especially "How Will I Know". I don't like the remixes on that album.

I don't like the remixes on that album. I agree, I don't like the remixes on there either. That's a big reason why I went back and got her older albums a few years ago. Rather than a re-release, I think they should just release a new career spanning collection, and include songs from her last two studio albums as well.

Re-releasing it would be stupid because it wouldn't count as the same album anyway. They should probably do a single disc hits collection with her originals. She has 18 Top 10 CHR/Pop hits. I'd include those and throw the "It's Not Right But It's Okay" remix on, or they could just release another double disc and throw on some of her lesser hits like "Miracle," "My Name Is Not Susan," "I Believe In You And Me," etc. She deserves a better hits collection.
This is what I'd do but I'm sure they'd want something to represent I Look To You.

I like the idea of having maybe 20 or 21 tracks on one CD, and including "I Look to You" and maybe a couple others like you mentioned.

I think "One Of Those Days" should be on it as well, to represent Just Whitney. If I remember rightly, it did hit #1 on Urban AC.

I like One Of Those Days. I will echo what has been said about those dance remixes. The most egregious offender is Greatest Love Of All. It doesn't even match the beat. So sloppy sounding. Whitney deserves better than that. But, even the upbeat songs were ruined by the dance remixes. I had to download I Wanna Dance With Somebody and So Emotional from ITUNES because I only have the Whitney album on cassette. Miracle is one of my favorite songs of Whitney's and brings back so many childhood memories. I also own IYBT on cassette only so that was another ITUNES purchase.

Why are we even talking about this??! This is so unreal, Whitney should be here! She should be at home right now with her daughter, eating breakfast, or getting ready to go out for the day, or go to the recording studio to record the rest of the songs for Sparkle. I don't know what to do with myself! I just want to believe that she really left the country, went on an island, and opened up that fruit stand that she jokingly talked about in 2009. I want to believe she's still here but she's on the island so she's never bothered again by the media. I need to believe this for my own well being. I can't take that this is real. I know, it's so hard to believe, my heart is still so broken over this. Still in shock....

Whitney Was to Shoot Anti-bullying Campaign on Last Day
By Neal Broverman
Whitney Houston was to lend her image to a campaign urging an end to bullying based on "your color, your sexual orientation, or how much you weigh," but her death in a Beverly Hills hotel room prevented the photo shoot from happening.
US Weekly reports that a photographer for the Stop Bullying Now campaign was waiting for Houston on February 11 and that her daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, offered to stand in for her mother to set up the lighting. After becoming concerned over her mother's failure to show up at the shoot, Brown checked on Houston and was informed of the tragic news by the star's staffers.
The campaign is officially entitled "Hear No Evil, See No Evil, Speak No Evil," and is described in a press release as "an initiative that will reach parents and children, while providing tools needed to successfully cope with bullying." Entertainment consultant Raffles van Exel, a friend of Houston's, is producing the campaign through his company Raffles Entertainment. The anti-bullying message is carried out through a mascot, Miles the Monkey. Celebrities like Jennifer Love Hewitt posed with a stuffed Miles the Monkey at a Grammy gifting suite this weekend.

Final Doctor Visits For Teeth Whitening, Sore Throat
Whitney Houston made three visits to the doctor in the week prior to her death, but the trips had NO illicit purpose -- she had a sore throat and got her teeth whitened.
Both family and law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Whitney was recording the title track to "Sparkle" and got a sore throat ... so she went to a doctor to get it checked out. We're told the doctor gave Whitney an Rx for Amoxicillin.
Whitney was also scheduled to film a commercial for her sister-in-law's candle line, so she went to a dentist twice to get her teeth whitened and cleaned.
And law enforcement sources have reiterated to TMZ ... Whitney was NOT doctor shopping for prescriptions and they believe none of the doctors crossed the line in their treatment of her.
As we first reported, Beverly Hills cops retrieved 6 medication bottles in Whitney's room, including Xanax and Amoxicillin. She also had Midol and ibuprofen.
And as we reported, it is increasingly looking like Whitney mixed Xanax and alcohol before getting in the tub, and that she may have died from a reaction to the drugs ... not from drowning.
-- TMZ
Whitneyyyyyyyyyyyy! What happened to you?????! :'(

When Whitney's "Greatest Hits" was released there was a ton of negative feedback saying that the remixes weren't the vesions that the public wanted to buy, and that may explain why it definitely underperformed sales-wise.
Several more collections have been issued since then in different territories, "Love, Whitney," "Artist Collection," "The Ultimate Collection," and the 2-disc "The Essential Whitney Houston"(really an exact reissue of the Greatest Hits but without the fabulous artwork) in 2011. But as others have noted, the label could easily release a new one that represents tracks from all of her albums, which hasn't happened yet.

I said over 10 years ago it was stupid for them to release her GH with remixes. Nobody wants those remixes that they don't even know! Everyone wants the originals! It made no sense.
