This is their debut album. They're a folk band with country influences and they are incredible. They have such honesty in their lyrics and they have these incredibly loaded vocals. The chick sounds like a improved Christina Perri. Seriously, take a listen. It's worth it. Barton Hollow, the title track, is currently free on iTunes. Barton Hollow is also the first single, I hope that Girl With The Red Balloon is next. Anyways, discuss!

The chick sounds like a improved Christina Perri. Joy Williams is a fantastic vocalist and songwriter who put out 3 successful Christian albums. I've been following her for a long time, so I was very happy to hear her move onto this new project.

I love how they're both singer-songwriters and they came together to make this brilliant album. My favorite was "Poison and Wine." The album is a very soothing listen, perfect for study music or chilling.

This and 21 are hands down my favorite releases from this year. Seeing them in Nashville in January!

Excellent performance tonight and I see that "Barton Hollow" is in top 10 all-genre albums on iTunes, should see a huge, well-deserved boost in sales this week.

Digging it. Every Grammy show, whether good or bad, in the last couple of years, has seemed to produce an artist that makes me take notice. This year, it was these guys. Definitely checking em out.

Call me a fan now. I even love "Safe and Sound" but paid no attention to The Civil Wars. I watched the pre-telecast and liked them immediately. Then their performance... wow. I'm sold.

For those of you that have been following Joy Williams since her early days on Christian radio, how great was it to finally hear that glorious voice on the Grammy's? I nearly lost my sh*t. Love The Civil Wars, but there is a special place in my heart for her 3 solo albums. Check them out if you like her voice but don't know her pop music...

Tear-inducing. The last time two voices together affected me this way, on this level, was The Arms of Orion by Prince and Sheena Easton, a song they did for the original Batman soundtrack. That song is one of my favorite songs of all time and this album, in parts, captures that. Gorgeous.

I felt like a close-friend who had watched their friend grow up and finally gain her much deserved success. She sounded spectacular. I, too, recommend you all to check out her back catalogue.

Those harmonies are breathtaking at times.
My favorite is still "Poison and Wine," but there isn't a bad song on the album. I also really like "I Have This Friend" and "Girl With The Red Balloon."
