It's rumored that Adele may attend and perform, but it won't be announced officially until early next month.

The sweet sounds of Adele’s voice in a live performance may be back sooner than anyone expected.
The 23-year-old English singer will perform at the Brit awards in London on Feb. 21, it was announced. She is also nominated for three awards, including British Album of the Year. She is also nominated for British Female Solo Artist and British Single for “Someone Like You.” ----------------------------------------- So I guess they are trying to making the Grammys seem like a big surprise? they will probably announce her the week of

LL Cool J announced as host. I'd prefer no host, like the last several years.

It's a shame Kelly is most likely performing Don't You Wanna Stay only. I'd love a WDKY performance.

It would be cool for John Mayer to return to the stage since he's all recovered now. I don't think they'll ask him, though. But he is a favorite.

There are normally around 16 performance slots...so we have roughly 50% off the line-up. Still needs GaGa, Adele, Kanye/Jay-Z to be added for sure. Kanye should do a bit of AOTL then Jay do a bit of his song for Blue then they come together for N- In Paris I'd like to see GaGa do something crazy. Perform a medley of album cuts mixed with one of her singles...maybe a new single? Adele - Just a solid, kick-ass performance of SFTTR!

Well, yes, 14887, but even better if Ms. Adkins performs, too. :) I'd imagine if she's healthy enough she will perform. I think Paul Grein already said she'd be there regardless of whether she's performing or not.

The Carrie stan in me really wants Carrie to perform... but that's doubtful. Especially since there are already two country artists slated to perform...
Here's to wishful thinking!

Carrie is a Grammy favorite, so if she has anything nominated, I wouldn't be shocked to hear her name come up. Did "Remind Me" get a nomination?

RM got shut out [I still think it was because the label submitted both RM and Old Alabama, which cancelled each other out due to Brad Paisley split votes]. MS is nominated for Country Vocal. If Carrie's got a lead single out for the next album by the end of this month, then it wouldn't surprise me if she debuts it at the Grammys.

Wait, RM was shut out? I honestly thought it wasn't nominated because it must have been released after the cut off date. That is shocking. I assumed it was a shoo-in for Country Duo or Group or whatever the heck the award is this year. I didn't think it would win but I thought a nomination was a given.

Remind Me's general performance was a huge surprise for me. It went to #1, but considering the star power of those two, I thought it was going to out-do Don't You Wanna Stay in every capacity, and it really sort of came and went.
Carrie could easily debut her new single at the Grammy's.

I do wonder if Carrie's desire to take some time off had anything to do with promotion of it, but we'll never really know.
