Frightened Rabbit - PokePoke at my iris, why can't I cry about it? </3 Matraca Berg - Back When We Were BeautifulI hate it when they say, I'm aging gracefully </3 +2 to the Travelin' Soldier mention. I'd also add Without You, Wide Open Spaces, Landslide, Never Say Die, and You Were Mine (OK, 90% of their discography...) by the Dixie Chicks. So many Dixie Chicks songs... and no "Top Of The World"? SMH. Okay, now I'm depressed. Jk. Mostly.

This is the song I listen to when I'm in that mood. Slow, sad and depressing at once, and the video only adds to the feeling of desolation. Beautiful. :'( Also, I rediscovered this one just yesterday after not hearing it since 2001, I think. Again, beautiful.

Though I have a broken heart I'm too busy to be heart broken There's a lot of things that need to be done But I have a broken heart
Though I have a broken dream I'm too busy to be dreaming of you There's a lot of things that I've got to do But I have a broken dream
And I'm wasted all the time I got to drink you right off of my mind I've been told that this will heal given time But I have a broken heart
And I'm crying all the time I have to keep it covered up with a smile And I'll keep on moving on for a while But I have a broken heart...

No one has mentioned "Hallelujah" yet?
Jeff Buckley's version is the one that hits me the hardest. When I listen to it, I picture an old man looking back on his life and being disappointed with it. :(

Johnny Cash - "Hurt" (cover) ~ His last song before he died. :'( That's the most depressing video I've ever seen - an old man singing in the dark about how his life is over since his wife died

Beyonce-Run The World( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( ) Just because it flopped harder than a fish out of water doesn't mean it's depressing, Wavey. GOD you're so stupid. :kii:

"Mad World," preferably the Gary Jules version. "Last Kiss" depresses the hell out of me.

This song/video always depresses me. Whether because of it being the last Spice 5 video (I loved them back when I was 6 y.o.) or because it reminds me so much of my lost childhood (which was very Spice Girls-heavy in general) and the memories from it. :( That's why I love it though.

One of my all time favorites. Probably one of the most depressing songs ever written but it's brilliant and she sounds amazing. It's basically about her asking God why he hasn't killed her yet.

Utada Hikaru-Time Will Tell&Close To You Speaking of her, the re-make of "Distance" turned a frothy pop ditty into a total dirge. Knowing the inspiration of the re-make (dedicated to a fan who became a murder victim) makes it even more depressing.
