I'm surprised the album hasn't leaked in full by now, but given how close it is to the album's release this is probably a good thing. I'm really excited for it now after hearing 'Outta My Head' - I think it's my favourite out of the studio recordings we've heard so far ('Crawling', 'Renegade' and 'Drown In You' - even though that last one was for Arkham City and isn't on the album).

Well then, give it a few hours! Only 4AM here, there'd be hardly any stores open.

www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20545874,00.html There's a serious hard-rock record lurking deep in Chris Daughtry's clean-shaven skull; it's clear in the jubilant Judas Priest crunch of ''Renegade'' and hedonistic strut of ''Outta My Head.'' What holds the ex-Idoler back is his weakness for oversmoothness, which turns shout-at-the-sunset anthems like ''Rescue Me'' into pillowy group hugs. Still, he wields his Ginsu-sharp melodies like a Benihana chef on Break the Spell, which (almost) lets him get away with being more Bon Jovi than Black Sabbath. B

It's definitely a different and lighter album to 'Daughtry' and 'Leave This Town', it hasn't been as immediate for me but I'm not hating anything. 'Outta My Head' and 'Break The Spell' stand out to me as potential singles (BTS in particular sounds very good as a pop single).

Streaming full album on DO. As a HUGE fan I am extremely pleased. I loved the 1st two albums but this one is incredible. My favorite already. Outta My Head is incredible. Hope it's a single. Losing My Mind is awesome too. Start of Something Good is a great love song. Gone Too Soon breaks my heart because it's something I have experienced and it's beautiful. Not sure how I will get through shows without crying to that one. Rescue Me is pretty too. I still love Renegade. BTS is good too. I'd say CBTY is the weakest on the album. Very happy fan. :) Hope it does well, either way, this is my favorite album so far. Something about Chris' voice that is just one of a kind for me. One of the better singers imo.

I'd say CBTY is the weakest on the album. Just a general observation...nothing against you personally. But how often do you see fans but down a lead single if it underperforms. I read the same thing numerous times with Kelly Clarkson's latest.

Not many liked Kelly's lead single from the start though. It really is one of the worse on her album. And I think I can say the same for "Crawling Back to You" after hearing the album snippets. So many songs I'm liking so far! I doubt this record will be better than the near-perfection that is Daughtry, but I can see it easily ranking as their second best.

Don't get me wrong, I do like CBTY, just of all the songs on the album, I personally think it's one of the weaker ones. They play it on the radio here a lot. So I guess I don't perceive it as under-performing. It was sent to HAC and has done pretty well there. Compared to past singles like INO and Home, it hasn't been doing as well. But that could be said for many singles from various artists compared to past singles.
On LTT, I felt that way about No Surprise. I know many others liked it, but it was one of my least favorite of LTT.
I really am liking BTS. I've liked all 3 albums very much. It's right up there with the 1st one for me. I really enjoyed LTT too, but not as much as the debut. And I like BTS better than LTT. Did that make sense?
Hope non fans will enjoy it as well. But when it comes to non fans, it seems there is usually not much that will change their minds once they form an opinion. Anyhow, I know sales are down these days, but still hoping BTS can do really well. :)

I could listen in Zune Pass, but I'm just going to wait until my pre-order arrives (almost certainly later today). Looking forward to it, especially if it's better than Leave This Town as I've heard!

My pre-orders STILL aren't here. Good thing I went to the store this morning. From IdolsNow: Breaking in to the top 10: DAUGHTRY's "Crawling Back To You" climbs 11-10 with a bullet on the Adult Top 40 chart.

It's good but to me it's more on par with LTT than the first album. Overall I'd give it a C+.

I wrote up a track-by-track review on my site: www.voiceradio.us/threads/daughtry.143/#post-7030 I like the hard rock elements on many of the songs, but as EW said in their review, it gets to be a little predictable and overpowering at times. Overall, though, a great album that is on a pedestal right beside Leave This Town for me. "Start Of Something Good" needs to be the next single.

^^ Good review! :) I REALLY like SOSG too but sorta am hoping for Outta My Head to be a single first. :) Thanks for reading! :) "Outta My Head" is another great single choice--I'm just afraid that it will be too "rock" to cross over to pop (since to my knowledge, rock hasn't been doing that well on CHR lately) and that starting with "Start Of Something Good" would fare better, leaving "Outta My Head" to follow with the benefit of extra exposure. Then again, I'm not much of a chart follower, so I could be totally off in my theorizing, haha.

I agreed with your point of view that Start of Something Good should be the follow-up single :) I really believe that it is this era's 'Home' which will have multi-format options and mass appeal. I really hope if it is chosen as the 2nd single, it would bring the album sales to great height:) And to all who wanted a rock sounding sound such as 'Outta My Head' as single - I say please don't ever ever think of it!!! Wake Up please!!!! Look at what is happening now to ' Crawling Back To Me' which is more rock-based compared to their recent hits - even Hot AC radio stations are not playing it as much!

I cannot get over how great this album is. There's not one bad song here, and most of them are amazing. "Lullaby," while very sweet and sincere, falls a little more towards the boring side of the spectrum; it's probably my least favorite on the album, although I do like it. "We're Not Gonna Fall," "Crazy," "Outta My Head," "Gone too Soon," "Spaceship," and "Losing My Mind" are my favorites at the moment. Leave this Town was excellent and I really didn't think it would be able to be topped, but this album has done it.
LOVE Renegade Crawling Back to You Outta My Head Start of Something Good Crazy We're Not Gonna Fall Gone too Soon Losing My Mind Louder than Ever Spaceship Everything But Me
LIKE Break the Spell Rescue Me Who's They Maybe We're Already Gone Lullaby
Album of the year.
