She has to sing "You're Still the One". :(
I wish her and Mutt could somehow maintain their professional relationship, but that doesn't seem likely at all. I wonder if she has actually been recording for her next album though?

Have Yourself a Very Buble Christmas Grammy Winning Canadian Star Releases 'CHRISTMAS' on October 24thUpcoming Appearances on NBC Holiday Special, Saturday Night Live and 60 MinutesBURBANK, Calif., Sept. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Michael Buble has a special holiday gift for his naughty and nice fans this year. On October 24th, the multi Grammy Award winning Canadian will be releasing his new album called CHRISTMAS, confirmed today by his label 143/Reprise Records. CHRISTMAS follows the Grammy Award winning artist's previous album "Crazy Love" which sold over seven million copies worldwide and was certified multi-platinum in the US, UK, Australia and Canada. Commented Buble, "Christmas has always been my favorite time of the year for me and my family so naturally it's been a dream of mine to make the 'ultimate' Christmas record. Even though it was summer and 95 degrees in LA, we totally got into the spirit of the holiday. Of course we decorated the studio with Christmas lights in the middle of July and that was a big help. One more thing, my mother told me it's the best record I ever made." CHRISTMAS, produced by David Foster, Bob Rock and Humberto Gatica, was recorded primarily at Capitol Recording Studios in Hollywood and The Warehouse Studios in Vancouver. The album includes guest performances by Shania Twain on "White Christmas" and The Puppini Sisters on "Jingle Bells." Buble also put his unique take on such classics as "Silent Night," "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas," "It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas" and "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town." In addition, a Buble original "Cold December Night" will be included on CHRISTMAS. In conjunction with the release of CHRISTMAS, Buble will star in an NBC Holiday Special and is also scheduled to appear on 60 Minutes, the NBC Christmas Tree Lighting (November 30th) and Saturday Night Live (December 17th). Buble has just completed his sold out "Crazy Love" Tour which played in 80 North American cities and was seen by over one million people. Shania Twain Faces Alleged Stalker in CourtPosted Sep 30th 2011 10:15AM by Gayle Thompson / CommentsShania Twain has finally had her day in court. The international superstar testified yesterday (Sept. 29) against the doctor who was arrested at Canada's Juno Awards in March for repeatedly stalking her, both in person and by sending inappropriate letters. Appearing in the courtroom via video, Shania stressed to the judge how uneasy the man's gestures made her, including receiving a large stack of love letters he had sent her since 2009, addressing her by her given name, Eilleen. "[The letters] make me uncomfortable and a little bit sad, awkward," she expressed (quote via the Vancouver Sun). "I don't consider him a fan," the singer added, explaining that the letters scare her. "I consider him a man who is pursuing me inappropriately." The alleged stalker, Dr. Giovanni (John) Palumbo, penned dozens of letters to Shania, including one she read from February 2009. "'I was totally amazed by you since I first noticed you 15 years ago,'" she read. "'I love you more than anyone in the universe. I love you,'" adding that he wanted to get together "ASAP so we can get to know each other." During the trial, the surgeon unexpectedly called out from his seat in the courtroom, "Eilleen, you can trust me. I am going to plead guilty," he stated. "I've been offended too much, your honour." The multi-platinum-selling singer detailed to the court how the man's unwanted advances negatively affected her family, both near their home and while traveling. "We were trying to have a family vacation," she recalled (quote via The Globe and Mail), "even though I had taken the extra measures with security, it was clear it wasn't enough." The man also reportedly appeared at Shania's grandmother's funeral, which she said made the difficult day even more painful. "I had to think hard about whether to go to the funeral or not because I thought Mr. Palumbo would go," she noted. "I was concerned about what he was capable of." Palumbo faces charges of criminal harassment, violating court orders and breaching bail condition. The trial is expected to last three days. Meanwhile, the new bride (to Frédéric Thiébaud) and mother of ten-year-old son Eja, isn't letting the legal drama weigh her down. She is currently prepping for her new role as a Las Vegas headliner, when her 'Still the One' show kicks off Dec. 1, 2012 at Caesars Palace. Tickets begin at $55 and can be purchased here. The Boot

That must've been scary for her. Hopefully this guy can get the psychological help he needs. That may not help. According to several articles, the doctor 'fan' has been "in and out of psychiatric treatment for some time now." Plus, the guy's ex-wife has been speaking out against him. Not only did he dedicate a "shrine" to Shania in his home, he also had over 30 CDs with various images of Shania from public events she attended. It seems he has been stalking her for years, despite psychiatric treatment. (Source)IMO, he needs to be locked up in a mental hospital.
Here is a courthouse drawing of the stalker suspect: Source: CTV

Shania Twain’s Supposed Stalker Interrupts Her Testimony in Court AgainBy: Cristin Maher | 3 hours agoShania Twain testified in court yesterday against her alleged stalker, former doctor Giovanni (who goes by John) Palumbo, but the testimony didn’t come without some drama. While Twain told her story via a video recording, Palumbo couldn’t help but stand up and interrupt the singer as she spoke about her problems with the man. Twain did admit to understanding the mentality behind Palumbo’s behavior, but assured the court that she is still alarmed by his adamant attempts to contact and see her. Keep in mind that Palumbo has been in and out of psychiatric treatment for some time now.“I’m torn emotionally because I have compassion for anybody who’s reaching out in need — fans often do that … I feel very sad … and awkward having to go through these very personal matters with Mr. Palumbo because it’s such an invasion of his privacy,” the singer said (via E! Online). “I still have the fear and anxiety of being contacted in the future by Mr. Palumbo. And I do want it to stop. And as far as I know, this is the only way to go about that.” After Twain made these comments, things took a turn for the strange. As Twain recollected the large amounts of letters she has received from Palumbo, the supposed stalker stood up in the middle of her testimony and began to speak. “But I didn’t know you received any of them — you understand?” he said in the courtroom. “It is very emotional for everybody,” Palumbo continued. “Please understand I have emotions, very strong emotions.” Palumbo also said that the letters were meant to be “lighthearted,” but Twain quickly countered his statement, saying the notes were actually very “scary and haunting.” This isn’t the first time Palumbo has interrupted Twain as she testified in the case. A couple of days ago, the man told Twain, “Eilleen, you can trust me. I’m going to plead guilty.” Eilleen is Shania Twain’s birth name, making this case a whole lot creepier since the defendant is addressing her like she’s an old friend or family member. Palumbo is being charged with criminal harassment and three counts of breaking his restraining order by coming within 500 meters of the singer. Earlier this year, Palumbo was arrested at the Juno Awards in Canada after he got too close to Twain, and the alleged stalker also attended the funeral for Twain’s grandmother and stopped by her family’s cabin in Ontario on several occasions. She sounds rather ... different. That really can't be her... I'm assuming they used a studio singer in that clip. If that's her real voice now, I'm just ****dead****.

^It sounds great. I'm glad they kept that classic production feel to it. Shania sounds good. Not sure about the way she does the "Iyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyiyi"s.

Are their any producers you guys can think of that you'd like to see Shania work with on her future album now that she obviously won't be working with Mutt anymore? I don't know if anyone can produce the same type of sounds for Shania that Mutt did, but there's gotta be someone out there that would have great chemistry with Sha-nay-nay.

Lionel Richie Announces All-Star Country Cast for Duets AlbumHe'll Perform With Rascal Flatts, Darius Rucker and Little Big Town on CMA AwardsOctober 26, 2011; Written by CMT.com Staff PHOTO: Lionel Richie and Shania Twain.Lionel Richie has revealed the track listing for his upcoming country album and will be joined by Rascal Flatts, Darius Rucker and Little Big Town to perform portions of several of his hits during this year's CMA Awards show. Set for release in March, Tuskegee features 13 of Richie's most famous songs re-recorded as duets with country artists. The track listing includes: "You Are" (Blake Shelton) "Say You, Say Me" (Jason Aldean)"Stuck on You" (Rucker) "Deep River Woman" (Little Big Town) "My Love" (Kenny Chesney)"Dancing on the Ceiling" (Rascal Flatts) "Hello" (Jennifer Nettles)"Sail On" (Tim McGraw)"Endless Love" (Shania Twain)"Just for You" (Billy Currington)"Lady" (Kenny Rogers)"Easy" (Willie Nelson) "All Night Long" (Jimmy Buffett)Richie was born and raised in Tuskegee, Ala., where he graduated from Tuskegee Institute and became a founding member of the Commodores. He gained prominence in the '70s when the band began scoring a series of hits that included "Easy," "Brick House" and "Three Times a Lady." In the '80s, he continued to enjoy success as a solo artist and has won five Grammys and an Academy Award for best original song ("Say You, Say Me" from the film, White Nights). As a songwriter, Richie scored a No. 1 country hit with Kenny Rogers' "Lady" and a Top 10 with Conway Twitty's version of "Three Times a Lady." In 1986, he and Alabama reached No. 10 on the country singles chart with their recording of "Deep River Woman," which he also wrote. "As my songwriting progressed, I realized that my songs perfectly translated to the country genre," Richie says. Regarding his new album, he notes, "I was born and raised in Tuskegee, Ala. I am a country boy and proud of it. To do this project just felt natural. "Growing up with country, R&B, gospel and classical music from my grandmother and pop, Tuskegee was the perfect melting pot for my influences as a writer, and the title, Tuskegee, is a validation of my growing up there -- the place I call home." Richie, Rascal Flatts, Rucker and Little Big Town will perform on the 45th annual CMA Awards on Nov. 9 in Nashville. The awards show airs live on ABC. CMT.com

I don't know if anyone can produce the same type of sounds for Shania that Mutt did, but there's gotta be someone out there that would have great chemistry with Sha-nay-nay. This is probably the biggest question surrounding her at this point. It's gonna have to be someone who can produce both pop and country. She has such a large international following that I can't see her abandoning pop material. I could also forsee them doing pop mixes like Taylor Swift did, so maybe whoever produced and remixed Taylors music? I think this is also another reason she hasn't released much over recent years. Of course, she could probably produce it herself. I imagine she knows how because she and Mutt always worked so closely together.

I was thinking Nathan Chapman might be a good match for her. And aaron, I hope you're right about her being able to produce herself. Hopefully she picked up some things in the studio from Mutt. I would f***ing love for her to come back with a Come On Over-type album that goes at least 5x Platinum, but I don't know if that will ever happen. :(

I think Paul Worley would be great. He's done well with the Dixie Chicks, Lady A, Early Martina Mcbride, and co-produced The Band Perry.
