Color the Walls (Don't Stop) should have been the next single
quirky but very very catchy

"Pumped Up Kicks" is now Top 10 at Pop.
"Helena Beat" is up to #18 at Alternative.

I think they'll be extremely lucky just to see "Helena Beat" do anything at Pop, let alone get a 3rd and 4th release there. But even if they did, I'd be surprised if "Call It What You Want" and "Houdini" got released to separate formats, because they're the two most similar sounding songs on the album. "I Would Do Anything For You" would be a good choice as well. Definitely has a catchy chorus.

I Would Do Anything For You is the best song on the album in my opinion, but I'm not sure if Alternative would play it.
I could see it being a success on Pop/HAC/AAA, but like you said, I'm not sure they will be successful enough overall to earn non-rock releases.

I love this whole damn album. This song is definitely on of the main highlights. Really intense video too.
I think there is some great potential with this album if they are smart and play their cards right. While the band is obviously Alternative, its music is still very melody-driven, catchy, and accessible. There are a few tracks that would make for great follow-ups on Pop, I'm not sure if this is one of them though. They should keep this an Alternative single as it seems to be doing well there and release maybe "I Would Do Anything For You" to Pop once "Pumped Up Kicks" descends.

Best song on Torches IMO. Definitely. The whole album is very good all around. There really isn't a song I don't enjoy off it.

I see "Helena Beat" as pretty Pop-friendly, too. I don't know about Top 5, but I don't think Top 10 is out of the question. The only song on the record that I think would do really well on pop and not well on Alternative would be "Call It What You Want." I like "I Would Do Anything For You," but I don't think it should be a single. I definitely think the third Alternative single and perhaps second Pop single (only if they don't go with "Helena Beat," which I agree is still the best song on the reocrd), would be "Don't Stop (Color The Walls)" -- it's the closet thing on the record to "Pumped Up Kicks," but packs more punch. I don't like it as much, but there's no denying it's commercial appeal -- it's already been featured in a big car commercial. If they do go 4 singles deep, the other obvious one is "Houdini." All that being said, I do hope this eventually goes number one on Alternative and is sent to Pop in November.
