Country No.1 Eric Church Drink In My Hand +5047 Rascal Flatts Banjo This should easily be #1 this week, as Eric passes David and Zac, while staying ahead of Luke and Chris.

Too many 'drinks' at Radio & Records: No. 1-Eric Church-Drink In My Hand +17093-Blake Shelton-Drink On It Since when hasn't there been a round of beers exchanged there? ;) Country radio really is the official radio format of beer! Then again, it's arguably a step up from moonshine! * I know this is a somewhat polarizing single, but I happen to have enjoyed this more than the average drinking ditty in that it just sounds like Church is really embracing the moment. Many other drinking songs sound dispassionate or as though they claim "this is the life", but don't really sound like they mean it. Sure, some of the lyrics are nonsensical, especially those toward the very end referencing some dog howling (!), but even that doesn't ruin it for me in that, after all, Church sounds like he's reveling in the moment. It also sounds pretty close to what a live rendition of the track would sound, energy-wise. So, I for one am sold on this, and can more than live with this being a #1 hit. Namaste, lisping HIBISCUS

Congratulations to Eric on his first number one single; I certainly hope 2012 turns out to be a huge year for him.

Congratulations to Eric on his first number one single; I certainly hope 2012 turns out to be a huge year for him. Without a doubt it will be one to remember for him. By the end of this year I'm quite confident he'll have two chart-topping hits to his name, with a third also quite possible ("Creepin'" will at least go Top Five I believe). Namaste, lisping HIBISCUS

^That would be the perfect order for the singles to go!! "Springsteen" is amazing; I could see it spending 3 weeks at #1, maybe! And "Creepin" is definitely signature Eric Church. Great song as well! With the momentum he's building, I bet he could go top 5 or even #1 with that as well!! :)

It's #1 on the 1/28 Billboard, to nobody's surprise.
Why don't y'all like the "hair of the dog" line? I think it's the only halfway original line in the song. Maybe y'all don't know the expression? Anyway, you have your reasons for liking this song, I have mine.

^ I had no problem with that line. And I agree that it's not his most original, but lack of originality isn't always bad.
