I am stunned they went with this because I assumed they would straight up go safe and radio friendly for the entire era and not release any of the slightly different songs on the cd. It makes me happy though. Britney has secured her place in the pop world. She doesn't NEED to be 100% safe and radio friendly non-stop. Sometimes releasing a great song with a great video will go further even if it peaks at #5 instead of #1. This, exactly. I'm really, really glad that they decided to take a chance and release this. Personally, I think it's going to be big.

Damn, cuz I posted on her dancer, Adrien's wall the other day, and he's gone back and forth with me about possible single choices/what he'd be in the video for her... I asked about "Trouble for Me" - and he liked it -- which is his way of hinting at stuff. But, hey, she seems happy with the single -- if they remix it for radio it'd do well.
Maybe we'll see a double single, but I doubt it. I'm holding out for BFB as a club single someday down the line.

I love this. I can see it doing well since it's still a beat drive number.

^Well.. It's not that hard for a song to become her biggest fourth single... I mean... FTBOMBH, DLMBTLTK, Boys, Outrageous and Radar weren't her biggest hits

Beyonce is proving that you can do un radio friendly songs that still have success because people just like them. I wouldn't say that...I doubt Britney was inspired by run the world and thought to release Criminal. Best thing I never had probably didn't inspire her either. BTINH is somewhat radio friendly which is why it was a semi hit. RTW was not friendly which is why it wasn't.

H100 Peaks
#14 FTBOMBH #79 Outrageous #88 Radar #-- DLMBTLTK #-- Boys
I'm not sure it'll outpeak FTBOMBH, but it'll easily be at least her second biggset 4th single.

Beyonce is proving that you can do un radio friendly songs that still have success because people just like them. Run The World flopped and Best Thing I Never Had is pretty traditional radio fodder and that still didn't crack the top fifteen...a little unsure how you came to that conclusion she's responsible for some movement? If anybody is proving to be taking more unique songs to the heights of the top 40 charts it would be Adele, who is also having success multiple times greater.

On Pop radio it should easily be her most successful 4th single - just has to best #16 I believe (FTBOMBH). I think this will at least crack the Top 10 on this format, riding off the success of the previous 3 singles.

So none of her fourth singles have ever peaked higher than #16 on pop? Wow!

Yup, #16 is the number to beat for pop peak. If it only gets top 10 i will still be thrilled!

I love the song but don't see it doing all that well on radio. I think it'll peak just outside of the top 10.

Yessss, it's very risky! But great choice, it's time for her team to try this risky song as a single! Both Criminal and Inside Out are great! And this is her slowest single since Everytime!

^IKR??... everything in Femme Fatale is single-worthy... except maybe Don't Keep Me Waiting... but she can release any song and expect at least a top40 peak

I don't think this will peak inside the top 10.

YAY YAY YAY
My life is complete. this will definitely show a different side to the album and following her two biggest airplay hits to date - it stands a chance.
I will honestly be set if this makes the Hot 100 top 20 but I would be fucking ELATED if it made the top ten (unlikely but possible)

Great choice!!! I think this will push 'Femme Fatale' to 1 million. She needs to perform this at the MTV Europe Awards and the American Music Awards.

I always say that because although dance music is getting played out and you can tell it is nearing it's end. It's still popular and putting a ballad out first is more of a risk, then RTW which was supposed to "happen" and didn't and now they are calling it a risk...even though it's a dance uptempo with a popular club beat. I feel like finally more mid tempo ballads are coming which I love. I was over the constant uptempos back in 2010.

I love the song but don't see it doing all that well on radio. I think it'll peak just outside of the top 10. I would be fine with a top 10 pop radio/top 20 digital sales/ top 20 hot 100, platinum peak... Oh, and I want it to start impacting in November/december to boost sales.
