Criminal is my 3rd fave son on FF. Both Criminal and Inside Out are perfect. And i'm glad her team decide to go to this risky route in US. This will be her slowest single since Everytime? (If we don't count Someday) I hope US radio is ready to get a slow Britney's single after getting lots of uptempos from her. Al i can say, this will be her biggest 4th single in US! It just needs to outpeak #14 Hot 100, #16 pop and #52 airplay (all are From The Bottom peaks)

I love the song but don't see it doing all that well on radio. I think it'll peak just outside of the top 10. I would be fine with a top 10 pop radio/top 20 digital sales/ top 20 hot 100, platinum peak... Oh, and I want it to start impacting in November/december to boost sales. That's really far away though. The adds date should be September 27th, in my opinion.

I would've been happy with either this or Inside Out, but I am definitely glad they chose this as it is one of my favorites on the album. It is so good and such a change of pace for her, so I'm happy they are switching it up by releasing this... and not releasing BFB or DDB, even though I like both of those as well, just not as much.

This is exactly what she needs - this song has a crazy hook and it's slightly different from the other singles this era.
This will sell the album better than either TTWE or IWG.

Vocally, Criminal is the best track on FF. Does everyone agree? Good career choice B!

Thank goodness it wasn't DDB! Looks like this era is safe (for now) from Sabitage.
Even though I believe IO would have been a more logical choice, I'm more than happy about 'Criminal' being the next single. I love this song and so much more than I do IO. It's a risk but hopefully the momentum from TTWE and IWG will help it give it a chance. I hope radio doesn't tamper w/ it, especially w/ the middle 8. And I can't wait to see what concept Britney's come up w/ for this song.

One of my favorite songs from FF, but not sure about it being a single... I would have released Inside Out

This song is just weird - not bad or good.
It won't do anything at radio, but it might spark a little more interest in the album.

This continues the trend of major artists rejecting the dance craze and going with something a little out of the ordinary for their single releases...I like it! Granted, this is a midtempo, but it's probably her slowest single since Everytime.
I think this will be a top 10 on radio for her, maybe even top 5 or close to it if radio embraces it. Even if it's not as big of a hit as Till The World Ends/I Wanna Go (which it probably won't be), it'll be good for her career since it shows a side of her we haven't seen in a long time. Maybe that'll help her album sales.

Nice choice. Finally she's taking some risk when it comes to choose her singles.

The song really sets the bar high for the video, I hope its as good as the songs delivery. I really cant wait for the performances, radio updates etc... for some reason I'm more excited to hear this on the radio then her past singles, even though I was regardless, but this is different, change is good.

my life is complete now :'( even though i really wanted this to be released at some point, i always thought IO is the most obvious single choice after IWG so i was just giving up my hope... this is one of her most unexpected single choice ever. it would be so interesting to watch this song's chart run. well, one thing's for sure - this will be easily her biggest 4th single ever.

I'm glad they're going with something a bit different for the fourth single. She's already had three big radio hits for this era...the can take a risk for the fourth one.

I'd like to reiterate how incredible the bridge is sonically.

I'd like to reiterate how incredible the bridge is sonically. I'd like to agree and also note that the whole song is a refreshing break from everything else on radio.

If anyone has the acapella to this, then you know how AMAZING her vocals are without auto-tune. I am so looking forward to this. I love it when Britney takes risks. I don't think Britney cares where this will chart. She wants to release this song that she loves and I really hope the video will do the single justice.

I wouldn't have picked this for the next single, but I think I like it. It sure is different. I love the sound of it, though it gets monotonous.
I think, with the huge success of the previous singles, this should hit top 10. Any more and I will be surprised and happy.

Very glad she released this. Britney needed to release a single that was different from her clubby, dancey uptempos, and hopefully this'll do well.

While I like the song, of the 3 this would've for sure been my last choice. Drop Dead and Inside Out both have that umppphh, while I think this song is lacking that. I hope I'm wrong, but I think this will be the last single of the album, and will wayyy underperform. Inside Out is instantly catchy, and Sabi is on a roll right now on pop radio, as she's bout to explode. I don't get it, this was outta left field.

At first I was disappointed Inside Out wasn't chosen because that's my personal favorite, but I just listened to this track again and I don't mind it being the next single. It's different from the typical Britney single and is a risky choice. I'm curious to see how it will do.

If the abominable You and I is a hit, this certainly can be. I love this single choice.
