Yes! Hopefully this will do well enough so they can release "Hummingbird Heartbeat" as the 7th and final single.

Re-release "Thinking of You". It is the perfect time for it. Gez, if we're going to do that, why not just have her do a cover of Radar to release and get it over with. I'm anxious to hear the new single mix for radio.

She sounds terrible on this. When she comes back with her new single, she better learn to fucking enunciate.
I don't think this will be a sixth #1 for her, but it will do well with all the momentum she has.

If LFN, one of the worst songs ever IMO, hit #1 anything is possible at this point.

People can say she needs to stop/take a break until they are blue in the face, but the fact is.. she is still slaying most of the competition. And seeing as this is a perfect fall song and given her momentum, she will probably continue to slay. So why should she stop now? Rihanna's entire career has felt like one huge era give or take a few short breaks (no shade at Rihanna, just making a comparison), why should Katy stop when she's still seeing massive success?

Katy will continue to get huge hits, and people can continue staying mad as fuck.
Can't wait to see this hit it big!

I was sort of excited for this until I read that it was getting a Dr. Luke makeover to make it more radio friendly. Never mind.

I'm guessing it's more of a re-tool/re-master like the "Criminal" radio edit. I don't see the big deal with that.

I guess it would just be nice if some pop stars had some faith in the music they actually put on the cd. Like, every song doesn't need a catchy radio friendly remix with a collaborator tacked on for extra sales. Pop music is sort of embarrassing right now. We need someone with some balls to come out and change the game again.

Haven't remastered/retooled radio edits been released from every genre for decades? I don't see the change.

I mean, pop music has always been more business than art but they used to at least try to *pretend* that wasn't the case. Anyway, this is among my favorites of Teenage Dream, and it's a good era closer. It will probably not be a #1 especially if the much more radio-friendly Last Friday Night barely squeaked it out, but it should be a solid hit regardless. Maybe it'll even help sell the album a bit more.

i don't want new Katy, I want this. And a radio edit doesn't mean = remix with a rapper. It means a radio edit. It has been going on for decades. Radio was meant to have edits. They have their stipulations and artist's cds don't.

^^ I agree. There is no problems with a radio mix or edit, so long as it doesn't hurt the song. But as far as throwing someone else on it (like a rapper) and calling a remix.. That is recycling music right there.

When you're this far into a project you're going to be pulling at straws to keep people interested.

This. The singles that have all been released were all obvious choices. Now it feels like they're just tacking singles on for the sake of it. That said, I do really like this song.

Are there any early spins of this?? It seems that LFN is tanking much more quickly than the other singles, and with this news being on Billboard, I would have thought thatradio may have jumped early - at least a few stations

I don't know why they're releasing this. It's going to ruin her #1 streak. She's really close to getting the record too.

at this point they are aiming towards 2M sales for the album. I don't think we're gonna get any fancy stuff, like Facebook promotions and after-the-fact remixes. It's kinda like a "throw it out there and see what happens" type of single. Who knows what they have up their sleeve tho. Has anyone heard the radio edit yet?

Are there any early spins of this?? It seems that LFN is tanking much more quickly than the other singles LFN still spent more time at #1 on overall airplay then E.T. did. Plus it's very seasonal and it's starting to get cold out.

TD isn't done so why should they stop now? Well it's clear that they DID care with the way they handled LFN & E.T. I don't see why they don't care now. It's not like her record is gonna sell that much more anyway because it's over a year old & people who wanted it would have bought it with the first 5 #1's. I know the holidays are coming up, but I think people would buy Rihanna's/Kelly's new record for a gift instead of Teenage Dream any day. I think it would be cool if she broke that record, and it's not like she's going to have another opportunity to do that.

People care about streaks too much. I think this will go top 10, help the album stay alive during the busiest sales period of the year and if they really care they'll do promotion to get it to #1.
