The radio LOL. This is actually her 3rd single. They released 2 singles in 2005 and 2006 and they never released an album because they didnt do well enough. You can listen to "still in love" here www.youtube.com/watch?v=RL_AwmH3vYE

Why are they using 2 different names for the same song: TYRA B. Given Me A Rush +117 42 Leaders Starters TYRA BOLLING Givin' Me A Rush +105 35 Leaders Starters The song itself reminds me of the 90es, more concretely SWV - which means it's absolutely fabolous.

Sometimes her last name is used so as not to confuse her with Tyra Banks.

This is already top 40 at Urban. I knew this would be a hit. I like this song but it annoys me that random people like her can get these top 20 hits and veteran artists (Kelly Rowland, Mya, Fantasia, Tank, Monica, Brandy, Tamia etc.) struggle to get their 2nd single (or first single for some..Mya) into the top 40 at urban but these fly by nights can scurry up the charts and not sell any albums. This is Tyras FOURTH single to get into the top 40 at urban radio and she has yet to even release an album, so i'm torn on how successful I want this song to be. I cant help but wish it was Kelly Rowland, Mya, Janet, Brandy or some1 that can do more with it and deserves it.

Awww But Tyra is young....and all of those other girls are heading towards 30,so people are getting rid of them one by one.Just like they are using Rihanna to get rid of Beyonce, and Janet with Ciara. But I'm shocked this song is doing this well, sounds like something I'd hear on Pop radio."Still In Love" was better, imo

But, hey, record labels are not filled with the sharpest people so it may even be... The problem, as SIR said, is that the 'new guard' of R&B divas can't sell an album if their lives depended on it. So, while we're losing the veteran artists, we have almost no one filling for them.

Whynot put all your money behind them instead of these new artists that people wont buy? Rihanna had the biggest song of the year but her album still hasnt sold a million units. Thats just terrible. If some1 like Janet or Brandy had done it, they would be double platinum by now.

Well it's not like the veteran artists' albums are exactly flying off the shelves. The reason why most of the veteran R&B girls sold so much was because they came out at a time where people actually bought albums. Now most people view them as being washed up. I am hoping for a Brandy comeback though.
I also think that most people have high expectations if you've been in the industry for a while. Janet, Monica, and Brandy have not been delivering. Their recent material is definitely not on par with their other material. If one of them would have recorded this, that would have been a huge step backwards.

The point was that veteran artists can sell records when they have a hit, these new girls can not. Rihanna cant sell records, Nelly Furtado cant sell records.. Mariah proved that if you give a “washed up” veteran some hit songs and great marketing & promo, they will sell records. It’s not even a debate. If one of them would have recorded this song and it became a hit, they would still be able to push more units with this song than any new chick because they have an established track record of success which is why people don’t buy albums from these new chicks. They have not proven to be anything more than a flash in the pan and they are not worth taking the chance of buying the album and having them disappear form the face of the earth next week.Any veteran artists is 1 hit away frommakig a comeback, its not rocket science and there is no rule that once u hit a certain age your career is over.

I know right. Look at how successful Mariah was with TEOM and how well Mary did with The Breakthrough.
