Lead single from their upcoming third studio album "Scars and Stories." Although they had two charting singles from the last era, I think they may struggle to get one this time around, but you never know.

I actually somehow forgot that this band existed.

I don't think this will chart. Alternative has changed since 2008, and this sounds a bit too HAC I think. Maybe the second single if it leans more rock-friendly.

I've always liked all of The Fray's singles but not their albums as a whole. Still looking forward to this though.

I like most of their songs so I'm excited to hear how the studio version will sounds like. Question : does anybody know if "Look After You" from their first album actually charted somewhere ?? This song was very good.

It may make Top 50, bu I think it'll struggle to reach Top 40. It's not like they're a staple on the format.

Yeah, their three biggest hits peaked in the 30s on Alt. - for some weird reason (didn't know til I looked it up), their highest charting Alternative hit was a cover of Heartless by Kanye West ???

Yeah I think it spontaneously became a minor hit during their last era. I was also puzzled by it while it was charting.

Top 50 - Alternative 65 50 FRAY - Heartbeat 91 55 36 0.805 Excellent. Definitely a worthy song; glad to see Alt. not shunning just because they are popular.

^ That's not why Alt would shun it. It's because the Fray's material is so HAC-leaning, and alternative radio doesn't lean that way at all these days for the most part.

I'm surprised to see KROQ on board with this though.

Really don't see what's "Alternative" about The Fray (and not The Script, Parachute, Matt Nathanson, etc.)

This song is more alternative than than all of those acts' most recent singles. You can't argue that. The Script should have made alternative with "Breakeven" I think though. And OneRepublic should have made it with "All The Right Moves", which I find much more alt-leaning than their most recent single that broke the top 50. And Matt Nathanson is so light and breezy, I don't think he fits as well as songs like "Heartbeat" and "You Found Me".

This song is more alternative than than all of those acts' most recent singles. You can't argue that. I guess I don't see it at all - why this is considered Alternative, but "Nothing" by The Script isn't - unless it's just a case of whether your ENTIRE CD has Alt. creds, and The Script crosses over the pop line too much on other songs

"Nothing" is much poppier than this.
