Their music had way more success than I feel it deserved compared to many better bands that will never see the light of day on radio. They've got more than their share. Quoted what I agree with. To be fair, I haven't had a chance to stream this song yet.

I like this song and I hope it gets its day at CHR. It's climbed up to #65 on the Hot 100 so far. It's also in a commercial for something. I can't remember what for.

^ It goes for pop adds in two weeks, so it may very well get its day on CHR/Pop.

I really like what they've done promo-wise this time around. I think they're being smart, what with the ad placements, movie trailers, targeted marketing around the Internet, continued accessibility on social media like Twitter and Facebook, etc. I hope it all pays off for them.

One thing I didn't like about "Habits" was that most of the songs sounded basically the same generic indie pop and I didn't like how short it was.
However, after a listen just now to this new album, it surprises me in a good way. While "Everybody Talks" to me sounds like something off "Habits," just about everything else on this new album is quite different and similar to pop rock from the 80s. I actually really enjoyed it. "Hooray for Hollywood" was the song that stuck out most to me that screamed future single.

Sure it does. They've had plenty of success at alternative among many other similar sounding indie-pop bands. My claim is that there are a lot of bands that I feel do that sound a lot better than Neon Trees does that deserve the success they've gotten but aren't catching on to the same extent. You're right, I could say that about any new band, but I'd only choose to say it about ones with huge hits that in my frank opinion are mediocre at best.
That said, I like "Your Surrender" just fine, and lo and behold, that's been their weakest performing single. Oh well...
