Do you remember a 1980 Christmas novelty tune by Willis and Vigorish (a/k/a Jerry Buckner and Gary Garcia, later of "Pac Man Fever" fame) called "Merry Christmas in the NFL"? To me it sounds like a cross/mashup of "Twas the Night Before Christmas" and "Monster Mash".
